AASA FY25 Federal Funding Freeze Survey Results and Minnesota Members’ Responses
A huge thank you to all who participated in the survey. MN had a higher response rate than many states, so our data not only helped inform the survey, but was also compiled separately for our use.
According to AASA staff, the overall survey results have been really effective in highlighting how “bad” this has been for districts.
Here are the MN state specific results. I recommend reviewing the entire dataset to view the full range of comments from our leaders. Key insights that will guide our advocacy efforts.

Do you have an Issue you would Like Considered for Inclusion in the MASA 2026 Legislative Platform?
MASA lobbyist Valerie Dosland and I keep a running list of the concerns and ideas we hear from members during the interim. This input is shared with MASA’s Legislative Committee as they help shape our legislative platform, which is ultimately approved by the MASA Board of Directors.
Please send thoughts/concerns/ideas to dhenton@mnnasa.org and valeried@ewald.com
