Legislative Session Updates

• January 14 start date.

• Special elections for two seats;

  • A contested residency challenge for House Seat 40B in Roseville has resulted in the disqualification of the DFL winner for the seat in the November election, Curtis Johnson. A special election will be held on January 28, 2025.

  • Sadly, DFL Senator Kari Dziedzic died last week from cancer. Senator Dziedzic represented District 60 in Minneapolis. A special election will be held on January 28, 2025.
