MASSP Recommendations for PSEO and Concurrent Enrollment

Our secondary principal colleagues convened a task force to review PSEO and concurrent enrollment and how these programs impact high schools. I know that many of you have concerns about both. I am grateful that MASSP Executive Director Bob Driver allowed me to share this with you.

Legislative Committee Comes Through - New MASA Platform Strengthens Our Voice!

MASA’s largest standing committee, made up of the many members who choose to serve, met twice to do the hard, thoughtful work of listening, synthesizing information, reflecting on past platforms, and tackling today’s realities. The result is this 2026 MASA Platform, which will guide and strengthen our advocacy as we move through the legislative process.

Thank you to all who served in this capacity! A special thank you to Chair John Magas and Valerie Dosland for leading the effort, and to Taylor Ethen and Dave Christians of MASA for creating the graphic that lays out MASA’s priorities so well!

Region Administrator of Excellence Award

Regions are invited to begin the process of selecting their Administrator of Excellence, a prestigious annual recognition for MASA members who demonstrate exemplary leadership, service, and community involvement.

Each region determines its own nomination and selection process, and any MASA member within the region may submit a nomination. Please send your region’s honoree to Taylor Ethen (taylor.ethen@mnasa.org) by January 30, 2026.
