Dear Vanderhoof Families-
We have a busy week! Wednesday, October 1st is the official count day. The October count is how the state determines our school funding which is based on attendance. Please make sure your student attends school on this day. More information about the October Count can be found below.
Also on Wednesday, our PTA will be running the annual Move-A-Thon fundraiser. This is a great event and a fun way to raise money for Vanderhoof. If you can volunteer, I know the PTA would appreciate your help (see the signup below). We end the week with 3rd-5th grade field day on Friday. Mr. Buelter has been working hard to get everyone ready and I can't wait to see our Roadrunners compete! Thank you to all our volunteers who are making these fun events possible, we couldn't do it without you!
Conferences are right around the corner, please look for the sign up document in your teachers newsletters. We can't wait to share how your students are doing and all the growth we are seeing.

Fall Conferences
With Parent Teacher Conferences coming up, its time to get your crock pot out and make some soup. Sign up to feed our amazing teachers on Wednesday October 8th. This is a time honored tradition, and one of our teachers favorite meals of the year.
The most important action you can take to support school funding is to make sure your student attends school on that day. Much of public education funding from the State of Colorado is based on student count, so we encourage you to make sure your student comes to school that day.
The “count window” the state observes is from Wednesday, September 24 through Wednesday, October 8, but the most important student count day is Wednesday, October 1. Help us get an accurate count by having your student participate in learning that day.
If your student will be absent on Tuesday, October 1 due to illness, please call our attendance line, 303-982-2744 to report the absence. Attendance during the “count window” will help counteract an absence on Wednesday, October 1
