Dear Vanderhoof Families-
We have had such a great week, students are showing tremendous growth and excitement around their learning. Thank you for all the support at Mod Pizza night, we raised a ton of money for our school.
We have added a new fun twist to recognize students with SOARing behaviors (Safe, Outstanding, Accountable and Outstanding). This year classes can get recognized by Ms. Deb (our Facilities Manager) for showing Respect by helping to keep our school tidy and clean in the cafeteria, classrooms and playground. Each week Ms. Deb chooses 4 classrooms to get the Golden G.O.A.T award to have in their classroom and carry in the hallways. Students feel so proud when they get recognized and are excited to get chosen.
Our 5th grade Band and Orchestra students are so excited to be learning an instrument and we can't wait for them to show off what they are learning later this year. We have 60 students participating this year and love hearig the sounds of music in the hallways.
Koda our therapy dog has visited twice and students are feeling the love of this little pup. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers that help take Koda around to visit classrooms.

It’s official – October Count Day this year is Tuesday, October 1.
The most important action you can take to support school funding is to make sure your student attends school on that day. Much of public education funding from the State of Colorado is based on student count, so we encourage you to make sure your student comes to school that day.
The “count window” the state observes is from Tuesday, September 24 through Tuesday, October 8, but the most important student count day is Tuesday, October 1. Help us get an accurate count by having your student participate in learning that day.
If your student will be absent on Tuesday, October 1 due to illness, please call our attendance line, 303-982-2707 to report the absence. Attendance during the “count window” will help counteract an absence on Tuesday, October 1.
Thank you for your support of Vanderhoof. Every student counts!
