Dear Vanderfhoof Families-
Spring in the air! We are excited for our Read-a-thon fundraiser that is starting on March 4th. PTA is sponsoring this wonderful event that encourages reading and raising money for our school. The money raised will be used to help fund replacing the sound system in the gym and buying new walkie-talkies for our staff.
To get students excited about the Read-a-thon and to celebrate Read Across America Day, we are encouraging students to dress up as their favorite book character or author on Thursday, February 29th. We have invited community members and staff members to join us in reading aloud and celebrating the joys of reading.
Our Trimester 2 Awards ceremony is on Friday, March 1st. Grades K-2 will be at 1:25-2:05 pm and grades 3-5 will be from 2:15-3:00 pm in the gym. Teachers will be sending out invitations to students who are receiving awards.
The lost and found is getting pretty full again, feel free to stop in anytime to look for missing items. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
