Dear Vanderhoof Families-
Have a wonderful long weekend there is NO school on Monday September 2nd for the Labor day holiday. Teachers are finishing up beginning of the year assessments and data will be visible in the Jeffco Insights platform as soon as its completed. Please see directions here to access your students assessment reports virtually. We will also be sending home hard copies of last year's CMAS, Colorado Measures of Academic Success assessment in Friday folders on Sept. 6th and DIBELS 8 and MAP data from this current year hard copies will be sent home on Thursday September 19th.
Please take some time to view our parent information slides linked here. The information in the slides is important to understand Vanderhoof procedures, curriculum and overall staff. As I mentioned last week we are planning a different type of Back to School Night/ Curriculum Night this year for later in the fall. Look for more information in the upcoming newsletter.

Join us on Thursday, September 5th at 5:00 PM on the Vanderhoof Blacktop for the First PTA Meeting of the year. Come learn more about what the Vanderhoof PTA does, opportunities to help, and meet other families. The new PTA Board is excited to meet you!

Are you looking for a fun way to be involved at the school? Be a Room Parent! Each classroom needs at least two Room Parents to help plan and then carry out the three holiday parties (Halloween 10/31, Winter 12/20, and Valentine’s 2/13). You won’t be alone - the Room Parents from each grade work together to create a grade level party. We still need Room Parents for the following classrooms:

🎪 Vanderfest - September 13th 🎪
One of our favorite Vanderhoof traditions is right around the corner - VANDERFEST!! Click here to purchase your wristband(s): PTA Store. Pre-purchase online for $12 through 9/11 or pay $15 at the door. Wristbands are required for all school aged children and include access to carnival games, bounce houses, magician, cake walk, air brush tattoos, Bliss Fro-Yo, a craft, and more! We will also have two food trucks on-site (for individual purchase): Downtown Tenders and Super Smash Burgers.
We need volunteers! Sign up here to help us make Vanderfest successful! By signing up for a quick shift, our community will come together to make this event memorable and fun.

Mental Health Resources-Strengthening our Jeffco Community through Mental Health and Wellness: Student Services is introducing an on-going mental health and wellness focus that will be added to the Mental Health and Wellness Hub. Our mental health and wellness hub and the School Toolkit .
