Dear Vanderhoof Families-
This week is full with fun events! We have the 4th grade musical, spirit week, field trips, band and orchestra concerts, and winter parties. Our classroom winter parties will be on Friday, December 20th from 2:00-3:00pm. This is always a fun celebration as we get ready for winter break. Thank you to our PTA and room parents who volunteer to make these parties fun and special for all of our students.
The lost and found is overflowing ! If you are missing items please take a moment to come and check out if any of the items that have been found belong to your student. We will donate any unclaimed items after winter break.

Attention grown-ups of 5th-grade students… It is time to submit your 5th Grade Dedication to the Yearbook Committee! Dedications should be 50 words or less and include one adorable picture of your student. Submit your dedication by December 20th. Submit now: 5th Grade Dedications
While reviewing your photos, don’t forget to share photos from Vanderhoof events with the Yearbook Committee! There are two ways to share:

Upload your photos directly to the Family Yearbook Submissions Google drive
👖The Care Closet 🪥
The Care Closet could use new packs of underwear and socks in all sizes, combs, brushes, and deodorant. Please drop these items off at the front office to keep the Care Closet stocked for our students.

December is the time to register for Kindergarten! If you have a child who will be five (5) years old by October 1, 2025, or if you have friends or neighbors with small children, they are eligible to start Kindergarten in the fall of 2025. Mental Health Resources-Strengthening our Jeffco Community through Mental Health and Wellness: Student Services is introducing an on-going mental health and wellness focus that will be added to the Mental Health and Wellness Hub. Our mental health and wellness hub and the School Toolkit .
Community Resources and Assistance Website: food assistance, layoff support, unemployment assistance, work opportunities, housing, mental wellness support, childcare access, assistance for populations including pregnant women, children, and aging adults, and more.
