Dear Vanderhoof Families-
Thank you for all your support with the book fair and our fall fundraiser. We raised $11,500 from the bookfair and students were soaring and racking up laps at our Move-a-thon Thursday. Not only was the wind kicking up energy so was our entire Hoof community. You can still donate to the Move-a-thon through Monday. Thanks for all the volunteers and donations as well you make this all possible. Shout out to Ms. Sbarra and our amazing musical roadrunners for their first performance this year. They represented Vanderhoof so well and continue to work hard.

👟 Move-A-Thon Fundraiser 👟
Thank you to everyone who registered, donated, and volunteered at the Move-A-Thon Fundraiser! We were amazed by how many laps our fantastic students ran, by their super ideas for moving around the course (shout out to a 2nd grader who did cartwheels and backbends around the entire course!), and by the joy that everyone brought to the course all day. We will announce the winners and the total money raised next week…stay tuned.
There are still a few hours left to donate: Move-A-Thon Registration

Introducing the Vanderhoof Care Closet
We have seen a growing need in our school for a care closet, and we need your help!! A caring closet is a room at Vanderhoof filled with new and gently used clothing and hygiene items for students who need them. These students will be able to visit this closet when needed with a teacher at the school in a discrete manner. We would love donations of very GENTLY used clothing items (if you wouldn’t wear them please don’t send them to the care closet). Or new donations of undergarments, socks, or hygiene items such as soap, brushes, toothbrushes, etc.) Please bring donations to the school. If you are interested in helping with the closet, please reach out to elizabeth.cockerill@gmail.com.
