Dear Vanderhoof Families,
Yay for the Super Bowl and the Olympics! I love this time of year so much and can't get enough of our amazing athletes. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We are definitely enjoying February around here at Vanderhoof.
Our students are showing true Roadrunner Pride by demonstrating SOARing behaviors on field trips and during special experiences here at school. Mr. Buelter has welcomed a karate instructor into the building, and students are loving the martial arts learning and discipline it brings. Kindergarten students enjoyed seeing Junie B. Jones at the Arvada Center, and second grade will be visiting the Meridian Retirement Community this week to spread kindness and joy through songs and Valentine’s Day cards. Our fifth graders will also be venturing out to the Denver Performing Arts Center to enjoy the symphony.
There are so many wonderful ways our students are extending their learning beyond the classroom and sharing their Roadrunner Pride with our community.
I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who was able to participate in our 100th Day of School celebration—the costumes were absolutely adorable and brought so many smiles!
If you are out and about this weekend and are able to donate extra Valentine’s Day cards, we would be very grateful. We can always put them to good use.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
