Dear Vanderhoof Families- We had a great first week of CMAS testing! Thank you for making sure your students were on time, rested and ready to go! This week is busy with 3rd-5th grade CMAS testing, school pictures, a choir concert, KidStage performance and field trips. Spring is always full of fun activities, please check out the calendar links below to stay up on all the happenings here at Hoof. Shout out to our PTA for providing prizes to our top classes for the Read-a-Thon, students really enjoyed the special treats and recognition for all their hard work.

🎉 TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK 🎉
Two - four - six - eight - who do we appreciate? VANDERHOOF TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK is May 6-10 and the PTA has big plans to spoil them with blasts from the past! Do you have a skill or idea to offer? Baking? Cricut? Massage? Email us to help with planning! If you are planning your own gift or gesture, we are collecting information about our teachers and will be sharing lists of their favorite things.

5th GRADE KICKBALL and SPRING COMMUNITY NIGHT are scheduled for May. The Student Government will be running the Snack Shack and Kona Ice is scheduled to attend! If you have any ideas for the event or want to help with planning, please reach out.
The Student Government plans to run a coffee cart during teacher appreciation week. Help our students espresso their love for our teachers by purchasing needed supplies from the PTA Amazon Wish List.
Thank you to all the family members who volunteered for Limo to Lunch. Every Taylor Swift song played, photo in front of the limo snapped, cup of lemonade poured, joke shared and pizza slice cut helped to make this a cherished memory for many Roadrunners.
Roadrunners will be able to sing a little louder and prouder next year thanks to the Read-a-Thon fundraiser! Ms. Hartmann is in the process of ordering some new sound equipment to eliminate the crackling and feedback sounds during performances. Thank you to everyone who continues to support Vanderhoof through our fundraising efforts!
📸YEARBOOK INFO 📸
While the yearbook pre-sale has ended, there is still time to order your copy online. The final day to order is April 19th. PTA will order a few extras for cash sale on a first come first serve basis in early May. Get yours here: Vanderhoof Elementary 2024 Yearbook | Entourage Yearbooks
Remember to email or upload to Drive those candids shots to the yearbook team! If you’re uploading to Drive, just find the correct grade level folder and drop your pics in. It’s that easy! We’re grateful for your help with capturing these special moments for our kiddos!
