Dear Vanderhoof Families-
We are busy, busy with learning all around! The Spelling Bee is this Thursday and I can’t wait to hear our Roadrunners competing and showing off their mad spelling skills. Thank you to all the volunteers who make the annual Spelling Bee a success every year. We couldn't do it without you!
Students continue to share their learning with each other and their buddies. As you may already know, each grade level has another grade level class that they have partnered up with so students can share their learning and build community and friendships across our school. This is such a wonderful opportunity to see them sharing and celebrating their learning with one another. Reminder there is no school on Monday, Jan. 20th.
I hope you have a wonderful long weekend and stay warm.

🐝Get Ready to Spell! 🐝
The Vanderhoof School Spelling Bee will be held on January 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the library. Twenty-one finalists from grades 4th and 5th have been studying and are ready! While seating is limited, parents and spelling enthusiasts are welcome to attend. For those interested in the event but not able to attend in person, a live stream has been set up: Spelling Bee Livestream. We are looking forward to an exciting event! We wish our finalists Good Luck in the upcoming Bee!
🥶 Brr. It’s Cold Outside ❄️
The Vanderhoof Student Government received a grant to create Indoor Recess Activity Boxes. The boxes have great activities to keep kids entertained when it is just too cold to go outside. The Student Government would love additional games (new or gently used) and indoor activities to keep the boxes full and engaging. If you can donate items, please drop them off at the front office.
The Care Closet can always use gloves, hats, socks, and underwear in all sizes. Donations can be left at the front office.
