Dear Vanderhoof Families-
What a fantastic week it has been! I want to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support and involvement—it truly makes a difference in our school community.
First, a big thank you to all of our families for ensuring your students were present for the October Count Day. Student attendance on this day is incredibly important for our school’s funding and resources, and we appreciate your help in making sure students were here and ready to learn.
We also had a blast during our 3rd–5th Grade Field Day on Friday! Thank you to everyone who participated and cheered on our students. A special shoutout goes to Mr. Buelter, our amazing P.E. teacher, for organizing such a fun and memorable event. He always goes above and beyond to make the day special for our students.
Our annual Move-a-thon fundraiser, organized by our wonderful PTA, was another highlight of the week! It was so much fun watching all of our students running their laps with energy, excitement, and determination. Thank you to the PTA for your hard work, and to all the families who helped support this great event.
As we look ahead, please keep an eye out for Parent-Teacher Conference sign-ups coming from your child’s teacher. These conferences are a valuable opportunity to connect and discuss your child’s progress, so we encourage everyone to participate.
Lastly, a reminder that there will be no school on Friday, October 10th and Monday, October 13th for Fall Break. We hope you enjoy a safe and relaxing long weekend with your family.
Thank you again for all you do to support our school.

The Book Fair is coming to Vanderhoof! Sales will begin on Tuesday, October 14th and go through Thursday Oct 16th. The Book Fair is usually open for business during conference week, but we were not able to change our dates to match the updated Jeffco calendar. However, please feel free to stop by and PREVIEW what’s available during conference night. We will have wish lists available for students to fill out. Thank you for your continued support! When students purchase books at the Scholastic Book Fair, this supports the Vanderhoof Library in purchasing books that everyone can enjoy.
Please visit our school book fair site at: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/vanderhoofelementaryschool . Be sure to check out the e-wallet option! This is a fantastic way to shop at the book fair without sending cash to school! If you share your ewallet with friends and family they can add money to your student’s wallet as well. Teachers will allow students to shop during soft start, recess, and after school (unless riding the bus).
