Vanderhoof Families-What a busy week we had! Students had so much fun during the Valentine’s parties. Thank you to everyone who donated goodies and their time to make these parties a success! The candygrams were a sweet new touch as well to help spread joy throughout the school. Remember we do not have school on Monday, February 19th in observance of President’s Day.

💙 LAST WEEK - HEARTFELT STOCK UP 💙

It’s the last week to support our teachers and support staff by replenishing their classroom supplies with the Heartfelt Stock Up Wish List on Amazon. If you want to support this effort, but haven’t had a chance to yet, the wish list will be available through THIS Friday, February 23rd. If you’re wanting to buy for a specific teacher, it’s easy peasy! First, click on the grade level/department. Next, click an available item and the requesting teacher’s name will be in the note section. All items are shipped directly to the school, unless you want to personally deliver them. Thank you for supporting our amazing teachers and staff!

🏫 ‘HOOF HAPPENINGS 🏫

🤸 A big thanks to those families who were able to participate in the jump fundraiser at SkyZone last Thursday. We hope your Roadrunner got some energy out while supporting the PTA. The turnout was fantastic and we can’t wait to hear how much YOU helped us raise!

🦋Ali Pfautz, The Story Lady, will be visiting Vanderhoof on Monday, April 1st! Ali will share her love of storytelling with our students through interactive performances that will encourage kiddos to think and be creative, to get up and move, and to have fun! Order a signed copy of Butterflies Keep Flying, No More Slooping, Sara Sue or both for only $11 each on the Givebacks site by Friday, March 1st. Signed copies will be distributed the day of her visit.

📸Remember to email or upload to Drive those candids from the classroom Valentine’s Day parties! If you’re uploading to Drive, just find the correct grade level folder and drop in your pics. It’s that easy! We’re grateful for your help with capturing these special memories for our kiddos!

Family Survey

Our school is committed to ensuring that your experience with our school is collaborative, successful and helps your child learn and grow. We want to know how we are doing. Panorama Education is a company who conducts student and family surveys in schools and districts across the country. Below is a link to complete a survey about family school partnerships. The survey is anonymous and will take around 15 – 20 minutes to complete. The results will be compiled into school level climate reports. These reports will be used by district leadership and school staff to continue the positive work of our schools while identifying and addressing current needs. The family survey opens Tuesday, January 16 and closes Friday, February 23. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback!

Support our Jeffco students experiencing homelessness or emancipation who need food and hygiene products throughout the school year. This year, we are collecting soup cups/pop tops (please no cans that require a stove or can opener). There is a large box for items to get dropped off near the main office.

Outdoor Lab Fundraising

When your child reaches sixth grade, they, along with their teachers and classmates, will participate in Outdoor Lab. There is a $300 tuition fee for attending Outdoor Lab. Click the letter for information on how you can start fundraising now for your student.
