Steven Fisher is a world-class drummer and percussionist with an extensive background in music performance, product development, and business management. He spent all three years at JHS in the Concert, Marching and Jazz bands.  His JHS awards include Outstanding Musician of the Year, Louis Armstrong, Outstanding Contribution to Jefferson Bands and the National Band Association Outstanding Jazz Student. Steven was also selected into the McDonald’s All American High School Jazz Ensemble and awarded the Who’s Who in Music two years in a row.  


Steven furthered his education at the University of North Texas where he played in the Grammy Award-winning One O’clock Lab Band before going into his professional playing career touring and recording with artists such as Maynard Ferguson, Dizzy Gillespie, Chaka Khan, Blood Sweat & Tears / David Clayton Thomas, Natalie Cole, and The Temptations.  


He is also credited with his contribution to the design and development of Roland’s successful line of electronic drum and percussion products including the V-Drums and later excelled in his business career with working at Yamaha as the Director of their Drum and Percussion division in the U.S. In addition, Steven founded EDrum Innovation LLC which provides R&D, business and leadership consulting to companies focused on electronic drum and percussion products.
