Coaching Highlights:
Coached many BAA teams in Bloomington
Volunteer football coach at Kennedy High School in 1965
Coached T-ball for the YMCA from 1985 to 1986
Coached floor hockey for the YMCA from 1984-1986
Coached football and track at Lincoln High School from 1969-1970
He coach football, track and baseball at Jefferson High School from 1970-2001
Served as the Athletic Coordinator at Jefferson High School from 1998 to 2006.
He was awarded the Butch Nash Assistant Football Coach of the Year 1989 from the State High School Football Coaches Association.
Community Involvement:
Supervisor and Captain for 20 cancer volunteers working for donations 2000-2007.
Created a power point presentation for BAA football, basketball, and volleyball. The presentation promoted sportsmanship, coaching tips, and care of the facilities.
Created a charitable gambling booth to aid Jefferson Athletics.
He helped found and run the Jefferson Football Golf Tournament for 12 years. The
Tournament has raised over $38,000 for college scholarships for high school students.
He continues to work for the Bloomington Park and Recreation Department. He has worked for 25 summers running the Summer Spectrum Program. He also continues to work part-time as a Sports Coordinator and Supervisor of the Field for the City of Bloomington.
Rich and his wife Pat reside in Bloomington, Minnesota.
