John (Jake) Lynch (Bloomington Teacher and Coach from 1968-1997)
Jake graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School in 1953. He participated in football, basketball and track in high school and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame there.

Captain of the basketball team in High School
Runner up in State Tournament in 1953
He was All Region and All State
Track Highlights:
2nd in State in High Jump in 1952 and 1953
College Highlights:
Graduated from St. John’s University in 1957 and the University of Minnesota in 1964

Played basketball for the U.S. Army 1957-1958
Coaching Highlights:
Coached basketball, football, and baseball at St. Cloud Cathedral from 1958-1960
Coached basketball and football and track at Owatonna from 1960-1963
Head basketball coach at Central High School in Billings, Montana from 1963-1965, placing 4th in the state tournament in 1965
Assistant football and track coach at Waconia High School from 1965-1968
Assistant football coach at Lincoln from 1968-1970
Assistant football and basketball coach at Jefferson from 1970-1997
Jake retired from Jefferson in 1997
Community Involvement:
Volunteer at VEAP for 20 years; volunteer at Bridging for 19 years; BAA Coach and Director for 4 years; volunteer at St. Edwards Church.
Jake and his wife Jane reside in Bloomington, Minnesota.
