Greg Kleven

Greg Kleven (Journalist) 

Growing up in St Louis Park, Greg Kleven always knew he wanted a career in sports. 

He was active in football, basketball and baseball with the Orioles and continued his playing career at Moorhead State in both football and baseball before turning to journalism as a career. 

Greg covered Bloomington athletics for over 42 years retiring in May of 2016 from the Sun- Current. 

At the Sun Newspapers, Greg was most recently the sports editor. 

Greg has been inducted into 6 Hall of Fames and has earned numerous state and national journalistic awards. 

In addition, Greg served 20 years as a freelance writer for the Associated Press covering the Vikings, Gophers, Twins and MSHSL State Tournaments.
