Steve Lingenfelter (Athlete - 1976)

Steve played basketball at Jefferson High school, earning All Conference and All State in his junior and senior years.  Coached by Jack Evens, a 2007 Hall of Fame inductee, Steve was a key player in Jefferson's first state championship title in 1976 and the consolation title in 1975 wearing jersey #51, which is now retired. Steve went on to play for the NBA with the Washington Bullets for the 1982-83 season.  He played in Italy for 6 years, in France for one year, and in Belgium for one year.  Steve says he could not have achieved what he did without the dedication of his Jefferson teammates, Al Hutchison, Dave Brattland, Mark Norman, Brent Knight, Brad Mundy, Ron Lievense, and Brian Baumgartner.  Currently Steve teaches EBD students at Stillwater High School and coaches girls basketball and junior high football and baseball.  Steve lives in Lakeville with his significant other Cindy and his children Tyler and Marissa.
