Kevin Lynch (Athlete - 1987)
Played football and basketball at Jefferson from 1985-87.
Basketball honors: State champs in 1986 & 1987; 3rd place 1985; All Conference 1986 & 1987; All Metro 1986; All Metro Player of the Year 1987; All State 1986 & 1987; Mr. Basketball 1987; USA Today's 17th ranked high school basketball team nationally.
At the U of M, NCAA appearances in 1989 & 1990; Sweet 16 1989; Elite 8 1990, All Big Ten 1991; All American Honorable Mention 1991.
Drafted into the NBA 28th pick (1992) (Charlotte); played in NBA playoffs in 1993; dunked on Dennis Rodman.
Played professionally in Europe (Spain & Germany).
Presently is a WCCO radio broadcaster, announcing U of M mens basketball, and also the state boys basketball tournament on TV. Also runs youth basketball camps (Lynch camps) and does some speaking (mostly high school events -- banquets, assemblies, meetings, etc.).
