Molly Tadich (Athlete - 1983)

Molly Tadich led the Jefferson girls basketball team to the 1983 Lake Conference title and the Region 6AA runner-up title.  Molly was named All Conference in her senior year and went on to play at the University of Minnesota from 1983-1987.  At the U of M, she was one of the most dominating post players in Golden Gopher history.  She is one of four Gophers to score over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, placing her 6th on the all-time career scorers list with 1,706 points, and 3rd on the all-time rebounding list with 1,135. Molly is a 3-time All Big Ten honoree and was named Most Valuable Player in her junior and senior seasons a the University of Minnesota; she was also honored as an Academic All District First Team selection in 1986.  Molly received the Lake Conference Athletic Achievement Award in 1986.  Currently, Molly lives in Golden Valley, where she coaches for the community athletic program. Molly is a special education teacher in the Mounds View School District.
