iPads have several features which can be used to support their use in the classroom, these include the ability to monitor and assign apps using the Apple Classroom App on your teacher device, or using the 'Guided Access' feature to lock apps using a passcode.
Apple Classroom allows the teacher to oversee the use of iPads within the classroom.
From their Teacher's Device, they can:
open specific apps on the learners' devices, and lock them
lock iPads
mute iPads
gain usage information for a session
Open Settings
Select Accessibility
Select Guided Access
Turn Guided Access On
Set a Passcode to exit Guided access on the iPad (this can be shared with staff but not pupils)
Using Guided Acces with Learners
Open the App you want to use
Tripple Click the Home button to activate Guided Access
Select the options you want Learners to have access to
Press Start (top right)
To End the Guided Access session
Tripple Click the Home button
Enter the passcode set for Guided Access
Like Microsoft and Google, Apple has a suite of digital apps for the users of their devices. To make:
Presentations- Apple has Keynote- Microsoft has PowerPoint- Google has Slides
Spreadsheets- Apple has Numbers- Microsoft has Excel- Google has Sheets
Word Processing- Apple has Pages- Microsoft has Word- Google has Docs
Apple also has several other Apple Apps which are created by Apple to allow its users to be creative, these include:
iMovie- to create and edit videos
Safari- is Apple's Internet search App
GarageBand- Apple's music creation studio, which lets you create, edit and share music
Clips- an app which allows the user to create expressive videos integrating text, effects, graphics and many more features

The default setting on your iPad is that photos are saved in a High Efficiency (HEIF/HEVC), to support the use of the pictures you take on an iPad this will need to be changed to Most Compatible (JPEG/H.264)
To make this change
Open the Settings on the iPad
Scroll down to the Camera
Select Formats
Change to Most Compatible
E.g. This now means that pictures added to a Google Drive can now be added to an Adobe Express piece of work.
