Intending to support all learners across Flintshire in developing their digital skills, it is important to view the part played by each school in their journey. To ensure that learners progress as seamlessly as possible from primary to secondary school, a level of parity across all primaries is key.
This term, digital leads from across Flintshire have engaged in providing feedback as to where digital apps would be implemented.
Schools can develop how progression looks in their own setting, however, alignment with other cluster schools would be advantageous to ensuring continuity within secondary schools.
Teachers are making increasing use of AI to save time, from planning to writing letters. AI can be used to support daily tasks.
This page will help develop your understanding of the use of effective prompts. What you get from AI is only as good as what you give to AI.
BUT... AI tools can collect and analyse the data which has been added within the prompt, so, do not use anything within the prompt which can identify any individual.
This Video explains how to change the settings to view Adobe Express in Welsh, and how you can use the Welsh language to generate images with AI.
Following the release of the Early Insights report from Estyn. I have collated the comments regarding digital and ICT, and from these where improvement is required, I have also added some suggestions on how schools can make changes to ensure that they can improve the areas noted.
Adobe Express has 12 Days of Creativity, through these activities learners can further develop their digital skills. These can be found on the login page of Adobe Express.
In this activity, learners can use AI to generate their 'ugly' sweaters. This task will allow them to understand the use of prompts.
NB. When using AI always look to develop a learner's understanding of prompts, planning the detail of their prompt and adjusting when needed to make improvements.
Additional support for staff using AI can be found here.
