What is Navigate?
Navigate is a Student Success Management System with comprehensive technology that brings together faculty, advisors, administrators, staff, and students in a coordinated care network to proactively manage and promote student success.
Everyone involved gets access to tools and features that provide smart guidance to keep students on the pathway to completing courses and earning credentials.
Why do we want to do this?
Navigate will help students understand their education journey from one term to the next, improve student understanding of their pathway, and connect with support services HCC offers. Navigate fosters the ability for college employees and students to make vital connections that are imperative to academic and personal success.
What is EAB?
EAB (formerly the Education Advisory Board) develops technology and carries out consulting on student success, enrollment management, and institutional operations for some 1,400 partner institutions.
HCC is a partner institution. This gives us access to the Student Success Collaborative (SSC), a network of institutions that share successful student support strategies linked to higher retention and degree completion rates. SSC also provides access to ongoing consulting services.
Practice in Navigate Staff Training Site through Staff Resources! Messages and notifications will not be sent to student, faculty, and staff users from the training site.
To download the Student app:
1. Go to the Apple Store or GooglePlay Store and search for “Navigate Student”
2. Download and install the app, and accept the terms and conditions
3. Search “Holyoke Community College” and select that as your institution
4. Login using your HCC email username (do not include "@hcc.edu" in username) and password
Note: The first time you visit, you will be asked to complete a three-question intake survey. Your answers will personalize your connections to HCCC offices and resources.
