When are students removed from Study Buddies?
Students who drop a section are removed from Study Buddies groups for the section automatically. All students are dropped from Study Buddies at the end of the term as configured by your institution.
Is utilization data available for Study Buddies?
Yes, utilization data is available in Student Milestone Analytics. This is permission based, please reach out to navigate@hcc.edu with any questions.
Can HCC use the Study Buddies feature for some courses and not others? Or for some specific student populations and not others?
No. Study Buddies is an all or nothing feature. It is turned ON by default and as such it will be available to all students in all courses at the institution.
Does Study Buddies know when a student has added/dropped/changed a course?
If a student changes their course registration at the institution, that updated information will be reflected in their app and the Study Buddies feature after the nightly load has been completed. If they drop a section, they are removed from the Study Buddies group list for that section after the nightly load is done.
