This exercise requires at least 5 half-days, excluding preparation
To be validated as an "instructor" on the CIOV, the ideal is to be observed in the field by a referent. However, this may take time depending on the availability of all stakeholders (supplier, candidate, referent, participants).
So, we developed another process to validate an instructor on the VSM, remotely. Here are the steps we set for its validation.
Rereading the standard with the candidate and the referent, plan for a 1 hour video session
The candidate plans a VSM and presents the preparation to the referent, plan 1 hour per video session
The candidate proposes an observer who will participate in the candidate's VSM as an observer
The candidate conducts the VSM
VSM debriefing meeting with the observer and the referent, plan 1 hour of video session
The candidate organizes and participates in the first flow improvement routines with the supplier
Debriefing meeting of the 2 or 3 improvement routines with the referent, plan 1 hour per video session
Decision-making by the referent to validate the candidate as a VMS “instructor”
