Boys swim team floods Gresham Gophers 140-7

The Gresham Gophers are washed back into their dens by David Douglas Scots 140-7. Coaches are hoping that the boys make a splash at state.

“Boys have a chance to make a presence at the state meet.” said Head Coach Jim Bowe. The first event is a 200 yard medley race, with all three placers being Scots teams. The first place team are freshmans Nathan Voung and Raymond Le, junior Daevin Ngyuen, senior Bao Vuong,  with final time of 1:47. Second place was freshman Elliot Huelshoff, sophomores Nathan Ngyeun, Austin Pham, and senior Raymond Chung with a final time of 1:47. The third place team consisted of sophomores Troy Van Rys, Christopher Cong, junior Kenneth Orellana-Morales, and senior Zachary Young, finishing with a time of 2:10.

The final event was the 400 yard freestyle relay. With first place team Nathan Ngyuen, Jonathan Ngyuen, Daevin Ngyuen, and Cong Christopher with a final time of 4:02. The second place team was Nathan Voung, Zachary Young, Troy Van Rys, and Viktor Pospisil with a final time of 4:03. The third place team was Robert Vo, Bryton Petrequin, Pablo Menica, and Issac Matsushima. Final time 4:38.
