As the Spring production, She Kills Monsters, comes to an end, the yearly senior-led One Acts are soon to begin.

The student-led One Acts are a collection of plays directed by the dedicated Seniors in the Theatre 4 class, the highest level Theater class. In One-Acts, the plays aren't as long as the regular spring plays. The Senior directed plays are spread out to three acts per night. The cast size is also smaller than the normal Spring play. The One-Acts are also a great opportunity for students to show off their skills in order for a great chance to audition for a lead role in the future.

The One-Acts will be performed twice the week of May 8th-11th. These plays are the philosophical comedy, Reluctant Profits: Directed by Kyra Blair and Chaz Guinan, designed by Kaye Gordham and Ren Shows, A comic portrayal of a dramatic classic, 12 Incompetent Jurors: Directed by Kaitlyn Borresen, designed by Liam Evans, A wacky romance comedy, Speed Date: Directed by Erick Leiva and Lolek Ortigoza designed by Kama Dieu, A moving drama about misconnection, Strangers: Directed by Anastacia Paunovic, designed by Emily Keil and Liam Christiansen, A satirical comedy, The Internet is Distracting…Oh Look a Kitten!: Directed by Dede Stephens, designed by Rory Meyers and Lily Parish, A comedy surrounding customer service, The Customer is Always Wrong: Directed by Scarlett Stokes, designed by Cynder Jentzsch and Blake Dunbar.

“One Acts are exciting because they give many students the opportunity to act. This year we have over fifty students involved.”  said Senior Kaitlyn Borresen.

The Theater 4 seniors also performed their state One-Act, Good Cop, Bad Cop. During State, the thespian troupe had the opportunity to watch the musical set during the Roaring twenties, Chicago, the investigative play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time and the musical Alice By Heart. The troupe also participated in tech competitions where Stephens and Guinan competed in a comedic duo scene.  Emily Kiel competed in Light Design and won Showcase Finalist. Kama Dieu competed in stage management and received superior scores and Liam Evans competed in set design.
