Boys Basketball end season with overall score 13-11, league score 6-8.

With a season full of teamwork in offensive plays and players being on the same foot in defense, it is inevitable to have player accomplishments and a player even broke the record for the most three-pointers in a game.

Boys Basketball ended their season with an overall 13-12 score, a 6-8 league score, and an OSAA rank of 30.

After an eventful season with alternating wins and losses, the Scots managed to secure their spot at playoffs in which they played against the Roosevelt Roughriders. The Scots ended up losing but the Roughriders eventually got second place in the 6A Championship. The Central Catholic Rams from the Mt. Hood Conference won the Championship with a whopping nine-point gap against the Roughriders.

During pre-season, the Scots started off with a loss against Cleveland, but they made up for it with a five-win streak against Tigard, Newberg, McNary, Franklin, and McDaniel. Once the season started with the Scots playing against the schools from the Mt. Hood Conference, they were not consistent with either wins or losses. It was hard for the Scots to know what to expect from the teams because they came in every game pulling unexpected moves, but in return it was difficult for the teams to know what to expect from the Scots, as they also pulled off unexpected moves. On Feb. 5, the Scots played the Rams at home, and with the Rams’ unstoppable offense, the Scots were crushed, 66-103. But On Feb. 9 at Nelson, the Scots returned the favor and won against the Rams 89-88. In the last few seconds of the game, the Rams were ahead by one point 87-88 and 6-foot-4 senior Lincoln Satterthwaite stole the inbound pass and passed it to 6-foot-2 junior Omar Kassim who assisted 6-foot-4 senior Vitaliy Sergeychuk in a game-winning layup in the last two seconds.

With a season full of teamwork in offensive plays and players being on the same foot in defense, it is inevitable to have player accomplishments and a player even broke the record for the most three-pointers in a game. Beating the previous record holder, PE teacher Tyler Maes, of eight three-pointers, Satterthwaite scored nine three pointers during his game against Clackamas on Feb. 14, in which the Scots won 86-71. Wrapping up their last year on a good note, Satterthwaite along with his fellow teammate, Sergeychuk, got Second Team All League in the Mt. Hood Conference and 6-foot-3 senior Cameron VanBuren received an Honorable Mention.
