Gun Policy and Safety often refer to any legal measure that regulates the sale and possession of firearms, in hopes it prevents and/or limits gun violence often resulting in tragedies. In most economically powerful countries, gun control is indisputable and uncontroversial. However, the United States is the only country where it's a controversial political topic, dividing the nation by numerous views on gun ownership and safety measures. 

This Unit focuses on the past, present, and future of gun laws and safety in the United States, each corresponding to a lesson. There are three 90 minutes lesson plans that will provide a deeper understanding of gun legislation in America for you and your students. Each lesson provides meaningful English lessons paired with US History.

Age and Level: B2-C1 Intermediate-Advanced (CEFR) young adult - adult students

Length of Lessons: 90 minutes each
