3. Research and Informational Fluency
Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. Students:
a. plan strategies to guide inquiry.
b. locate, organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and ethically use information from a variety of sources and media.
c. evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness to specific tasks.
OBJECTIVE:
The student will create an essay and include images that describe the past summer vacation.
LEARNING TARGETS:
- GRADES 5-6: I can create a Microsoft Word document, add a graphic and text, save it and print using the School Network.
- GRADES 7-8: I can create a Microsoft Word document, add and format graphics and text, save it and print using the School Network.
- GRADES 9-12: I can create a Microsoft Word document, add a detailed graphics and edit the graphics and text, save it and print using the School Network.
DIRECTIONS:
- You may use:
- Microsoft Word OR
- Google Docs
- Start a New Project
- Insert>Footer>Blank Footer
- Type your Name and Press Enter
- Type Your Grade (below your name) and Press Enter
- Double Click in the Body to closed the Footer
- Type a numerated list that defines the Top Ten is a category of your choosing. You may find help from an online source however you MUST credit the source.
- You MUST use some type of graphic to tell the story

LATE WORK/MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:
If you are absent from school or do not complete the assignment on time, you must print your project. Please ask Mr. Lesnansky for details. (NOTE: A point deduction may be enforced for late work not due to an excused absence.)
