OBJECTIVE:

  • The student will read an article that defines ways to improve the Google Search process to get better, more accurate results and then write a short essay defining what new skills have been learned.


LEARNING TARGET(S):

  • GRADES 3-5: I can write a short paragraph that defines the one thing that you learned from reading this article. Please include a graphic that matches your new skill.
  • GRADES 7-8: I can write a short paragraph that defines two (2) new things that you learned from reading this article. Please include a graphic that matches your new skill.
  • GRADES 9-12: I can write a short paragraph that defines three (3) new things that you learned from reading this article. Please include a graphic that matches your new skill. Include a description of how you can use this skill in another class or aspect of your life.


ACTIVITIES:

  2. Login to your Google Account
  3. Create a New Google Doc
  4. Based on your grade assignment complete the following:
    1. Grade 5 - write a short paragraph that defines the one thing that you learned from reading this article. Please include a graphic that matches your new skill.
    2. Grades 6-8 - write a short paragraph that defines two (2) new things that you learned from reading this article. Please include a graphic that matches your new skill.
    3. Grades 9-12 - write a short paragraph that defines three (3) new things that you learned from reading this article. Please include a graphic that matches your new skill. Include a description of how you can use this skill in another class or aspect of your life.
    4. Open your Google Classroom, Add the file to the assignment folder and Turn it In.


SUBMITTED WORK:

  • This work will be checked personally by the instructor for accuracy when the student is done. The student must be logged into the network for the grading to be completed.


LATE WORK/MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:

  • If you are absent from school or do not complete the assignment on time, you must inform the instructor to check the assignment. (NOTE: A point deduction may be enforced for late work not due to an excused absence.)
