NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS:

6. Technology Operations and Concepts

Students demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts, systems, and operations. Students:

a. understand and use technology systems.

b. select and use applications effectively and productively.

c. troubleshoot systems and applications.

d. transfer current knowledge to learning of new technologies.


OBJECTIVE:

Students will watch an eight minute tutorial video defining the elements that are used to create the Google House (pictured above).


LEARNING TARGETS:

GRADES 5-6: I can use basic tools in the Google Earth application to find a satellite image.

GRADES 7-8: I can use advanced tools to measure a ground object.

GRADES 9-12: I can use more advanced tools to create a tour.


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Watch the YouTube video(s) posted below.
  2. Try to execute the Measure and Draw commands are presented.



SUBMITTED WORK:

This work will be evaluated by Teacher Observation.



LATE WORK/MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:

If you are absent from school or do not complete the assignment on time, you must see Mr. Lesnansky for Make-Up instructions. (NOTE: A point deduction may be enforced for late work not due to an excused absence.)
