Grades 3-5

• With guidance, create artifacts using digital learning tools and resources to demonstrate knowledge.

Grades 6-8

• Create artifacts using digital learning tools and resources to demonstrate knowledge.

Grades 9-12

• Create artifacts using digital learning tools and resources to demonstrate knowledge.


OBJECTIVE:

  • The student will create a word processing document tells a the story of where they would go and who they would like to meet if they could time travel.


LEARNING TARGET(S):

  • GRADES 5-6: I can open a Microsoft Word document, edit it and save it to the Google Drive.
  • GRADES 7-12: I can open a Google Doc, edit the file, share it with other users and print the content.


REQUIRED APPLICATIONS:

  • Word Processor (as directed)
    • Google Docs

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Login to your Google Account and open a new Google Doc
  2. Create a new file
  3. Insert>Header>Type "Time Traveler"
    1. Footer
    2. Name
    3. Grade
  4. You will create an essay that tells a story about where you would go and who you like to meet if you could time travel. For example:
    1. Date
    2. Place
    3. Person(s) involved
  5. Add graphics to the piece as appropriate.


SUBMITTED WORK:

  • This file should be printed in Room 408. Follow the instructions for your word processor.


SCORING GUIDE:

  • This is a simple assignment that must be printed in Room 408. You will earn 20 points for completing this assignment but there will be no deduction for spelling, grammar or structure.
  • If you ever have a question on a grade please see the instructor!


LATE WORK/MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:

  • If you are absent from school or do not complete the assignment on time, you must inform Mr. Lesnansky to check the assignment. This needs to be done early in the grading period as it creates a storage system for all of the documents that you will be creating this year. (NOTE: A point deduction may be enforced for late work not due to an excused absence.)
