OHIO LEARNING STANDARDS FOR TECHNOLOGY (2017):

STRAND: Information and Communications Technology

The understanding and application of digital learning tools for accessing, creating, evaluating, applying and communicating ideas and information.

Topic 2: Use digital learning tools and resources to locate, evaluate and use information.

Grade 3-5

• Use multiple criteria developed with guidance to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant information found with digital learning tools and resources.

Grade 6-8

• Use multiple criteria to evaluate the validity of information found with digital learning tools and resources.

Grade 9-12

• Independently construct an evaluative process for information sources chosen for a learning task.


LEARNING TARGETS:

  • GRADES 5-6: I can draw a picture, download it from the Network Drive and edit it using simple editing software.
  • GRADES 7-8: I can draw a picture, download it from the Network Drive and edit it making prescribed changes using simple editing software.
  • GRADES 9-12: I can draw a picture, download it from the Network Drive and edit it using simple complex editing software.

  3. Choose a Gender
  4. Create an Avatar that looks like you!
  5. You can control
    1. Face
    2. Hair
    3. Eyes
    4. Clothes
  6. You can also add
    1. Glasses

    3. Other Fun Stuff!
  7. When you are done with the design you will need to save the image
    1. Start Menu
    2. Snipping Tool
    3. New
    4. Select your image
    5. File>Save As>Google Drive>My Drive>Grade Folder

SUBMITTED WORK:

  1. You must complete the Check Out Sheet (linked below) and have your work inspected at your computer by the instructor (50 points).
  2. You will then upload the file to Google Classroom (20 points).


LATE WORK/MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:

  • If you are absent from school or do not complete the assignment on time, you must inform Mr. Lesnansky to check the assignment. This needs to be done early in the grading period as it creates a storage system for all of the documents that you will be creating this year. (NOTE: A point deduction may be enforced for late work not due to an excused absence.)


EXTRA CREDIT:

  • Using one of the other sites listed above, create a new avatar (or Doppleganger) and submit it to the Google Classroom
