OBJECTIVE:

  • The student will complete exercises using Microsoft Word that are designed to showcase the different Commands and the components of the various Ribbons.

LEARNING TARGETS:

  • GRADES 5-7: I can create a word processing document and find information about a movie quote.
  • GRADES 8-12: I can create a word processing document and find information about a movie quote.


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Open Microsoft Word (NOTE: You MUST use Microsoft Word for this assignment).
  2. Insert>Footer>Blank Footer
    1. Type your Name>Press Enter
    2. Type your Grade
  3. Following the model posted below (use the with Notes file) create a word processing document that defines your favorite movie and quotes from the film.
  4. Here are some of the commands (in sequent) that you will use:
    • Page Layout>Orientation>Landscape
    • Page Layout>Page Borders>Borders> 1 1/2 pt, box>OK
  5. You may choose your own movie using the following guidelines:
    • You must choose a movie that you have watched
    • You must choose a movie that your parents/guardians know that you have watched
    • All language, topics and titles MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE!
  6. You may find Internet Movie Database to be a valuable resource.

SCORING GUIDE:

Your score will be determined by comparing your spreadsheet to the model posted below. Please find the spreadsheet marked by your period number and labeled (FINAL).
