• Explain the use of selected digital learning tools and resources to support productivity and learning.

• Analyze and evaluate the ease of use and effectiveness of available features of selected digital learning tools and resources.


OBJECTIVE:

  • This assignment is designed to have the student create an audio file using Audacity. This file will then be saved to the Network Drive (\\blsd-fs02) and transferred to their personal S: Drive.


LEARNING TARGETS:

  • I can create an audio file using Audacity and save the file to my Google Drive.


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Take your script into the recording studio.
  2. Login into the recording station and open Audacity.
  3. Record your audio pieces.
  4. Save each one separately as an Audacity Project in your S: Drive
  5. Logout of the recording station and return to your computer.
  6. Transfer one of the files to the BLSD Network:
  7. \\blsd-fs02
  8. Lesnansky Digital Class
  9. Filename (lastname.firstname.title of piece) [i.e. lesnansky.george.introduction]
  10. Now edit the file to remove some words from your speech.
  11. Save this new file in your S: Drive.
  12. Transfer one of the files to the BLSD Network:
  13. \\blsd-fs02
  14. Lesnansky Digital Class
  15. Filename (lastname.firstname.title of piece) [i.e. lesnansky.george.introduction MODIFIED]


SUBMITTED WORK:

  • This work will be checked personally by Mr. Lesnansky for accuracy when the student is done. The student must be logged into the network for the grading to be completed.


LATE WORK/MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:

  • If you are absent from school or do not complete the assignment on time, you must inform Mr. Lesnansky to check the assignment. This needs to be done early in the grading period as it creates a storage system for all of the documents that you will be creating this year. (NOTE: A point deduction may be enforced for late work not due to an excused absence.)


FURTHER STUDY AND ENRICHMENT:

  1. Using a site like http://freeplaymusic.com/ that provides free, royalty free mp3 files for educational use, download a new file of music and learn how to edit the sound.
