OBJECTIVE:

  • The student will create a word processing document that will define four dilemmas defined by the game cards from Would You Rather?


LEARNING TARGET(S):

  • I can transpose cards from the game Would You Rather? into a detailed word processing document.


REQUIRED APPLICATIONS:

  • Would You Rather? (Game Cards) (as directed)
  • Word Processor
    • Microsoft Word


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Open Microsoft Word
  2. Using the models below, you are to create a word processing document that looks the same but you MUST use a four different questions and answers.
  3. Save your document as required by your application (i.e. S: Drive -Microsoft Word or Google Drive - Google Docs)
  4. Use the following site to derive the special characters:

This file should be printed in Room 408. Follow the instructions for your word processor.


SCORING GUIDE:

Your score will be determined by comparing your spreadsheet to the model posted below. Please find the spreadsheet marked by your period number and labeled (FINAL).


If your product is missing something or there is an error you will find a red circled code that indicates the mistake. You may also notice a code with a line through it. This indicates that the element should not have been included (i.e. IT should not have been italicized). These include:


  • B - Boldface Error
  • BO - Border Error
  • C - Not Centered
  • FONT - Font Error (size, style, etc.)
  • FN - Filename Error
  • IT-Italics Error
  • J - Justification Error
  • N - Name (incorrectly placed or missing)
  • GR - Grade (incorrectly placed or missing)
  • GRA - Grammar Error
  • GRAP - Graphics Error
  • LS - Line Spacing
  • MISSING - Missing Content
  • SP- Spelling
  • TAB - TAB Key Error
  • TB - Textbox Error
  • U- Underline Error

LATE WORK/MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:

If you are absent from school or do not complete the assignment on time, you must inform Mr. Lesnansky to check the assignment. This needs to be done early in the grading period as it creates a storage system for all of the documents that you will be creating this year. (NOTE: A point deduction may be enforced for late work not due to an excused absence.)
