This course allows pupils to develop their Creative Thinking and Design skills through three design projects. Pupils will work from each of the three Design Briefs and will learn how to successfully work through a Design Process to create an end product. Various challenges may inspire pupils to create tangible works, including 3D sculptures, models, fashion pieces, posters, leaflets, photography, and collages

This course is for pupils who enjoy Design, thinking creativity and problem solving. Skills gained in this course would help learners gain further study or a career in the Creative Industries.
Pupils will experience Research, Planning & Problem solving in order to present their ideas and products.

The course assessment has two mandatory components:
3 x Projects = 100% of the overall grade
Homework will be set by the class teacher on a regular basis, this will be available on TEAMs.
The majority of resources and materials will be supplied through the school. As students projects are all individualised they may have to purchase one off items or personal materials.
Entry is at the discretion of the Principal Teacher Faculty, Art, Design & Technologies. However, as a guide: Candidates would normally be expected to have attained the skills, knowledge and understanding required by the following or equivalent qualifications and/or experience:
¨ National 5 Graphic Communication
¨ National 5 Art and Design course or relevant units
