Grades are done for the first Marking Period. Please see Schoology. I even added a little personal comment for each student! | The transition to Schoology is complete! All due dates are on the class Schoology page. I also have the weekly assignments ready on Mondays. Students should do the assignments and submit.
The Schoology grade is my official grade. There are some transfer issues getting grades in HAC from Schoology.
Making this page and the Schoology page will take too long. I think there is a way parents can access Schoology.

Lessons Here are my clearer expectations for you in my class. First, on a 3x5 card, write down your goals for 8th grade and the behaviors that will get you there.
All About You 1. Neatly fill out the sheet about yourself. Color it neatly with colored pencils. You will get your picture taken today for All About Me. If you would like a different picture, print one or send it to me and I will print it.
2. Be ready to present yourself to the class tomorrow. They will write down 3 things they learned. This will be your 2nd grade completion grade.

Warm-up 30th Count Exercise- Drawing inferences: 1-2 First Name/Last Name/ Today's Date Read aloud together line by line. As a group, decide on the correct answer. Point out why you thing your choice is the right answer. Cite evidence.
Lessons We are continuing to get to know each other. (Next week we start the heavy work.) You are seated in groups.
1. Take turns sharing your All About Me details with your table. 2. On your sheet of paper, write down what you have in common with each person. 3. Finish coloring your paper and turn in. (Work on the word find until all finish.) 4. Play Apples to Apples... again, getting to know each other. 5. Write down how many cards each person won on the sheet provided. 6. Have a nice four-day weekend! Be sure to get your picture taken!
