Lessons This week, I really took my time establishing vocabulary and the novel. Next week, our goal is to have read My Favorite Chaperone and discuss the guiding questions.
Vocabulary This week, the students were becoming familiar with the words I need them to use next week when we start reading My Favorite Chaperone. We will be discussing these literary vocabulary words next week: plot, exposition, rising action, climax, resolution, conflict, internal and external conflict, dynamic and static characters, and point of view (1st, 2nd, 3rd limited, and 3rd omniscient).

Small Groups: I am slowly going to introduce students to the stations routines. During stations, I will be pulling students for small group instruction. We are not there yet.Vocabulary: It is early in the school year. Right now, I would like to start establishing routines and expectations.
