Current Assignment: Stations Literature: The goal for this week is for the students to read "My Favorite Chaperone." They will read the story in groups to practice reading aloud. The groups will also provide them with support as they answer the guiding questions on Schoology. Students will apply the vocabulary the practiced last week: plot, exposition, rising action, climax, resolution, conflict, internal and external conflict, dynamic and static characters, and point of view (1st, 2nd, 3rd limited, and 3rd omniscient).
Reading: By the end of the week, students should be 1/3 of the way through their novel They should have completed the first reading journal on Schoology Do not submit the reading journal until you have bolded the literary vocabulary we have been discussing this week!
