Focus for the Week 10/23 -10/27 Class: Students are responsible for writing the immigrants challenges and adjustments essay. There is a brainstorming and outline assignment on Schoology.
Students will turn in the final draft on Schoology.
I will be looking over their shoulders as the work by commenting online.
Stations: (Every week, students will do 2 Achieve article and write sentences for Vocabulary.com.)
Writing: Students must write out the answers for Achieve. Students also write sentences for the Vocabulary.com words. Reading: Achieve 1. Write the 1st poll question in a few sentences. 2. Read the article and answer the questions. These questions matter! 3. Answer the after poll question in a few sentences 4. DO NOT do the Thought Question. Instead, do the Schoology questions. Be sure to rephrase the question in the answer! Grammar: Students are expected to use perfect grammar on the Achieve answers and the Vocabulary.com sentences. Vocabulary: Students should practice the assigned list until 75% mastered. Students then write five sentences and submit on Schoology. Students go back and master the list 100% or so.
