Description: An assessment of social skills and/or emotional functioning

Summary: These are individually administered checklists or tests that assess a student’s social skills such as problem solving or social awareness and/or emotional function such as self-esteem, anxiety or mood. They are typically completed by the student. Most of these tools compare a student’s social-emotional function to a national sample of peers.
