6 - the enemy of my enemy

June 11, 2012: Sue Ellen Ewing turned to corrupt businessman Harris Ryland (X-Files famous Mitch Pileggi) in order to help her son to keep drilling on the new Southfork oil fields. Harris also was the ex-husband of Bobby's current wife Ann (Brenda Strong), and had debuted in the previous episode. In the long run, his character was going to replace somehow the void left by J.R. as a villain, but on a different, more simplistic level. Also in this sixth episode of TNT´s "Dallas", John Ross decided to move back to the ranch, and later discovered how lunatic her ex-lover Marta del Sol was and rejected her publicly, which meant that a murder was going to happen soon and he was going to be the main suspect. And we were right all the way!! As we did when suspected that Rebecca´s migraine might had to do with a pregnancy (as usual in soap territory) and a new (or two) Ewing was on its way...Things happened fast and furious in this first season of the new "Dallas"!

El 22 de julio de 2012, Sue Ellen Ewing acudía al corrupto empresario Harris Ryland (el Mitch Pileggi de "Expediente X") en busca de ayuda para que su hijo pudiera seguir perforando en los pozos de Southfork. Harris era asimismo el ex marido de la actual mujer de Bobby, Ann (Brenda Strong), y había debutado en el episodio anterior. A la larga, su personaje iba a reemplazar, de alguna manera, el vacío dejado por J.R. como villano, pero a un nivel más simplista. También en este 6º episodio de la nueva "Dallas", John Ross decidía volver a vivir en el rancho, y más tarde descubría lo loca que estaba su ex amante Marta del Sol y la rechazaba armando jaleo en público, lo cual significaba que pronto habría un asesinato y él sería el principal sospechoso. Y teníamos razón, así como al sospechar que las jaquecas de Rebecca tendrían que ver con un embarazo (como suele ocurrir en los seriales...) y que uno (o dos) nuevos Ewing podían estar de camino...Las cosas sucedían muy rápido en esa 1ª temporada de la nueva "Dallas".
