NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN

NICOLLETTE NACIÓ EL 21 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 1963 EN SUSSEX, Inglaterra, como COLETTE SHERIDAN. Se mudó a Los Angeles con sus padres a los 10 años, donde asistió a la Isabel Buckley Elementary School. Luego regresó a Inglaterra, donde asistió a Milford School en Somerset. Allí decidió que quería ser actriz. De vuelta a EEUU, fue contratada por la ELITE Modeling Agency de N.Y. Mientras hacía una prueba para un anuncio de TV, conoció al famoso fotógrafo Francesco Scavullo, que la ayudó a convertirse, en febrero de 1984, en portada de la revista COSMOPOLITAN. Sheridan continuó con la agencia, pero también se tomó tiempo para asistir a pruebas para cine y TV.

Sus créditos de TV incluyen la serie MUÑECAS DE PAPEL (foto superior centro) y el telefilme AGATHA CHRISTIE´S DEAD MAN´S FOLLY. Llamó la atención del público de cine cuando apareció en la serie de películas de JUEGOS DE AMOR EN LA UNIVERSIDAD. Sheridan protagonizó frente a su futuro marido HARRY HAMLIN el telefilme ENGAÑOS. Durante una de las pausas de Knots Landing, completó el rodaje de una miniserie que protagonizó, GOLPES DE SUERTE, basada en el récord de ventas de Jackie Collins, LUCKY.

Desde 1993, la inglesa NICOLLETTE ha aparecido en algunas películas como QUE RUINA DE FUNCION o ESPÍA COMO PUEDAS y en numerosos telefilmes, amén de la reunión de KL, donde hacía una aparición especial en la 1ª escena, abandonando a GREG. A Sheridan le encanta viajar, cabalgar, esquiar, leer y conducir su moto. Posee 2 casas en Los Angeles y N.Y. Hijastra del actor TELLY SAVALAS y ex novia de los cantantes LEIF GARRET y MICHAEL BOLTON, actualmente está divorciada de HARRY HAMLIN. Ganadora de 2 premios SODA a la mejor actriz protagonista y mejor heroína en 1990 y 1991 respectivamente.

Durante 5 años, NICOLLETTE coprotagonizó la teleserie MUJERES DESESPERADAS (más abajo, con TERI HATCHER en una escena del Piloto, y en el vídeo inferior en su escena más famosa), donde interpretaba el papel de la siempre conflictiva EDIE, aunque inicialmente ansiaba el papel de BREE. Este papel le ha reportado una candidatura al GOLDEN GLOBE como mejor secundaria. Su película más reciente se titula HONEYMOON FOR ONE y la rodó para televisión.

NICOLLETTE was born on November 21, 1963, in Sussex, England, as COLETTE SHERIDAN. She moved with her parents to Los Angeles at age 10, where she attended the Isabel Buckley Elementary School. She later returned to England where she attended the Milford School at Somerset. It was there where she decided she wanted to be an actress. Returning to the U.S. she was signed by New York's ELITE Modeling Agency. While auditioning for a television commercial she met famed photographer Francesco Scavullo, who helped her to become February 1984 cover model for COSMOPOLITAN magazine. Sheridan stayed with the agency, but also took time out for television and movie auditions.

Her television credits include the series PAPER DOLLS and the made-for-television-movie AGATHA CHRISTIE´S DEAD MAN´S DOLLY. She came to the attention of movie audiences when she appeared as THE SURE THING in the feature films of the same name. SHERIDAN starred opposite her future husband HARRY HAMLIN in the made-for-cable film DECEPTIONS. During one of the KNOTS´ hiatus, she completed filming for her starring role in LUCKY CHANCES, a six-hour miniseries based on the best-selling Jackie Collins novel, LUCKY.

Since 1993, British NICOLLETTE has played in a few movies like NOISES OFF or SPY HARD and in many telemovies, co-starring such stars like FAYE DUNAWAY or PIPER LAURIE, aside of the KL REUNION, where she did a special cameo in the first scene. Stepdaughter of actor TELLY SAVALAS and ex-girlfriend of singers LEIF GARRET and MICHAEL BOLTON, she is currently divorced from HARRY HAMLIN. Two-time SODA-winner as best lead actress and best heroine in 1990 and 1991 respectively, for her role of PAIGE MATHESON in KNOTS LANDING.

NICOLLETTE co-starred in the TV show DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (here with TERI HATCHER in one scene from the Pilot, and in the video above, in her most famous single scene ever) for 5 years, portraying the ever troublemaker EDIE, though she first auditioned for the BREE role. She got a GOLDEN GLOBE nomination for best supporting actress. Her most recent telemovie is entitled HONEYMOON FOR ONE.
