1/385: "THE RETURN" ("EL RETORNO")

The third season premiere kicks off with the Ewings on top, having vanquished Cliff Barnes and taken over his company. The Ewings are united, with Sue Ellen planning a wedding for John Ross and Pamela. But solidarity among them can only last for so long. John Ross quickly gets into conflict with Bobby over their joint ownership of Southfork Ranch:

"It’s about time you learn to respect the past, boy,” Bobby says. John Ross answers: “The past is what holds us back". He´s also putting his marriage at risk as he enters into an illicit liaison with Emma. Meanwhile, Christopher's relationship with Elena seems irreparable as Elena returns to Dallas with her own secret agenda for justice after visiting Cliff in jail:

"I don’t like you - Elena tells him - You’re scheming.But I researched the land records. What you told me is true. J.R. switched my father’s land with a worthless deed. His betrayal cost my father his life. I came back here to accept your offer to be your proxy at Barnes Global. But I’m not thinking of this as revenge. I am thinking of this as justice." As the betrayals mount, the arrival of a mysterious stranger, Nicolás Treviño, puts everyone's plans at risk.

La tercera temporada comienza con los Ewing como ganadores, tras haber vencido a Cliff Barnes y haberle arrebatado su empresa. Los Ewing están unidos y Sue Ellen planea una boda para John Ross y Pamela. Pero la solidaridad entre ellos no puede durar demasiado: John Ross pronto discute con Bobby por la propiedad compartida del Rancho Southfork:

"Ya es hora de que aprendas a respetar el pasado, chico”, le dice Bobby. John Ross responde: “El pasado es lo que nos frena." También sigue arriesgando su matrimonio al continuar su aventura extraconyugal con Emma. Entretanto, la relación de Christopher con Elena parece irreparable cuando ésta regresa a Dallas con motivos ocultos para querer vengarse de los Ewing tras visitar a Cliff en prisión.

"No me cae bien: es un intrigante - le dice Elena. Pero he investigado los registros de los terrenos y lo que me dijo es verdad. J.R. se quedó con la propiedad de mi padre y le dio a él una sin valor. Su traición le costó a mi padre la vida. He vuelto para aceptar la oferta que me hizo para ser su representante en la Barnes Global. Pero no lo considero una venganza, sino justicia". Las traiciones van sucediéndose y la llegada de un misterioso desconocido, Nicolás Treviño, pone en peligro los planes de todos.

On the heels of Nicolas's arrival, John Ross goes to great lengths to keep his plans for Ewing Global moving forward, locking horns with Bobby in the process. Bum, JR´s loyal detective, shows him the photos of him with Emma that he´s taken by request of Sue Ellen: "Grow into your father´s greatness, not his weakness."

Meanwhile, Sue Ellen's suspicions of John Ross' infidelity threaten to derail her alliance with her son. Harris Ryland's surprise return creates concern and Emma enlists the help of her grandmother, Judith Ryland. Bobby and Ann's investigation into Ryland's release from jail leads to a shocking revelation.

Después de la llegada de Nicolás, John Ross no repara en medios para llevar a cabo sus planes para la Ewing Global, enfrentándose de nuevo con Bobby en el proceso. The race to secure capital for the impending Arctic Lease auction has Bobby scrambling to outmaneuver John Ross' efforts to frack on Southfork. While Nicolas and Elena's partnership heats up, Christopher makes a startling discovery about Nicolas' past, and Emma's games put John Ross and Pamela's upcoming wedding in jeopardy. "I know I’ve been defensive about Emma’s behavior in the past - Ann tells Sue Ellen - . You were right about her drug use. Maybe you’re right this time too."

La carrera para asegurar el capital para la inminente subasta de los derechos de explotación de los yacimientos del Ártico hace que Bobby tenga que apresurarse para detener los esfuerzos de John Ross por perforar en Southfork mediante fracturación. It's wedding day at Southfork and Afton, Ray and Lucy return for the occasion. The only one missing is the groom, John Ross, who's skipped out to strike a deal with a family adversary. Meanwhile, Christopher returns from Mexico to witness Nicolas and Elena's relationship deepening and, to his surprise, finds a new burgeoning romantic connection. As Pamela wonders what's keeping John Ross from the nuptials, Sue Ellen fears it's Emma and contemplates stopping the wedding. She has a serious talk with her son:

"All this time I was hoping that you wouldn’t make the same mistakes that your father did. Apparently, the blood of J.R. runs too pure in your veins. I will not stand by and watch you destroy Pamela like J.R. destroyed me."

"Is that alcohol I smell on your breath? Perhaps your drinking is making you forget your loyalties. You have looked the other way your whole life, Mama. One more time’s not going to hurt"

Va a celebrarse una boda en Southfork, y asistirán a ella Afton, Ray y Lucy. El único ausente parece ser el novio, John Ross, que se retrasa para cerrar un trato con un enemigo de la familia. Mientras, Christopher regresa de Méjico y observa que la relación entre Nicolás y Elena es más íntima y, para su sorpresa, él mismo conoce a una atractiva joven. Cuando Pamela se pregunta qué mantiene a John Ross lejos de allí, Sue Ellen teme que sea Emma y se plantea impedir la ceremonia. Mantiene una seria conversación con su hijo:

The honeymoon is over for John Ross, as Bobby and Sue Ellen try to use the Governor to stop John Ross from becoming just like his father, J.R. - a move that could divide the family forever. Meanwhile, Christopher discovers surprising details about Heather's past; Cliff persuades Elena to try a new tact in her quest for justice; and Judith Ryland and Ann try, with varying degrees of success, to get Emma under control. But Emma´s reaction is unexpected:

"I took these from Daddy’s safe. It’s about your little side business. Copies of ledgers, client lists, girls. Your little black book. That’s half of what Daddy has on you. When I see a contract for those ships, you’ll get the rest." Judith gives her an advice on her own:

"Never let a man screw you for nothing. A whore who gives without receiving is not only a whore, but a fool. You think John Ross cares about you? Loves you? Why would he buy the cow when he gets the milk for free?"

John Ross y Pamela regresan de su luna de miel, al tiempo que Bobby y Sue Ellen intentan utilizar al Gobernador para que John Ross no acabe siendo como su padre, J.R., mediante una acción que podría dividir a la familia permanentemente. Mientras, Christopher descubre sorprendentes detalles sobre el pasado de Heather: está divorciada del peón Bo McCabe y tiene un hijo pequeño; Cliff persuade a Elena para que emplee una nueva táctica en su deseo de hacer justicia; y Judith y Ann tratan a su manera de controlar a Emma, algo que no consiguen precisamente. 6/390: "LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON" ("DE TAL PALO, TAL ASTILLA")

On the heels of Bobby's appointment as Railroad Commissioner, John Ross scrambles to find the funds to keep the Arctic lease deal alive, even if it means betraying those who love him most. Sensing an opportunity, Elena and Nicolas get Pamela and John Ross out of the office to divide and conquer. Meanwhile, things get complicated for Christopher and Heather, and Ryland's plot to keep Emma and John Ross apart takes an unexpected turn.

Finally, Sue Ellen and John Ross confront each other:

"Once a cheater, always a cheater. I should have learned that lesson the first time around. Even drunk, I know the sound of a lie, and you are an expert at it, just like your father."

"I am not my father! Are you so hell-bent on punishing J.R. for his sins that you’re willing to destroy the relationship with your only son? Damn it, I need you Mom, and you sided with them. I’m your son. You remember that? Or are you too damn addled to remember who I am? Why are you doing this to yourself again, huh?"

"Don’t you get it? You did this to me. You and your father."

"No, Mama. You did this to yourself. You’re so busy seeing the ghost of J.R. in me that you cannot stop to take a hard look in the damn mirror. You want me to take responsibility for my actions? Then you take responsibility for yours."

Tras la designación de Bobby como Inspector de Ferrocarriles, John Ross remueve cielo y tierra para encontrar apoyo económico para el negocio de los pozos del Ártico, aunque ello implique traicionar a sus seres queridos. Viendo una oportunidad, Elena y Nicolás consiguen que Pamela y John Ross se mantengan alejados de las oficinas para seguir con su plan. Mientras, todo se complica para Christopher y Heather, y la estrategia de Harris para separar a Emma y John Ross da un giro inesperado.

Finalmente, Sue Ellen y John Ross sostienen una grave discusión:

"¿No lo ves? Tú y tu padre sois quienes me lo estáis haciendo."

"No, mamá. Te lo haces a ti misma. Estás tan obcecada en ver el fantasma de JR en mí que ni puedes detenerte a mirarte en el espejo. ¿Quieres que me responsabilice de mis actos? Entonces haz lo mismo con los tuyos."

7/391: "LIKE A BAD PENNY" ("MALA HIERBA")

As Bobby and Ann work to get Sue Ellen released, John Ross pushes ahead on his plans for control of Ewing Global, enlisting the help of one of J.R.'s last business partners, an Arabian Sheik, with whom he plays an unfortunate poker game and loses his father´s watch:

"One of two things he left me when he died. He wanted me to carry out his legacy, be the man he taught me to be. If my father was king, this watch would be his crown — the symbol of everything he was. I thought by leaving you out of the Arctic-lease play, I was showing everybody that I could close a deal that not even my father could close on his own. I lost sight of the fact that, well, he made you a promise, and that promise meant more than any deal on the table. A person’s word defines who they are, and I disgraced myself, my father and you by not following through with his promise. And I can only hope to be worthy one day of the legacy that he left me."

Meanwhile, secrets come to light as Emma discovers the lengths her father and grandmother have gone to control her, and Elena decides what to do with a secret she's discovered. Plus, Elena's brother, Drew, returns to Dallas, which leads to a surprising showdown, and John Ross recovers JR´s watch through the Sheik´s son Nasir.

Mientras Bobby y Ann se esfuerzan para conseguir sacar del sanatorio a Sue Ellen, John Ross sigue adelante con su plan para controlar la Ewing Global, y pide ayuda a uno de los últimos asociados de J.R., un jeque árabe con quien juega una desafortunada partida de póker que le lleva a perder el reloj de pulsera de su padre:

"Es una de las dos cosas que me dejó cuando murió. Quería que continuara con su legado y que fuera el hombre que me enseñó que fuera. Si mi padre hubiera sido rey, este reloj sería su corona, el símbolo de todo lo que era. Creía que dejándole a usted fuera del negocio del Ártico, le mostraba a todos que podía cerrar un trato que ni siquiera mi padre pudo lograr. Perdí de vista el hecho de que, bueno, él le había hecho una promesa, y eso significaba más que cualquier negocio que hubiera sobre la mesa. La palabra de una persona define quién es, y yo he puesto en ridículo a mi padre, a ti y a mí mismo por no cumplir con lo que él prometió. Pamela's discovery that John Ross has been sleeping with Emma ignites a firestorm at Southfork threatening not only their relationship, but Bobby and Ann's relationship as well. Harris tells Ann unexpectedly:

"I think we could’ve worked, Annie. I loved you. I just think we never had a chance. We should never have remained in this house, not with that woman living here. She destroys everything she ever touches. She destroyed the most important part of my life: You. " After that, Harris kisses Ann and Judith watches them through the window.

Christopher and Heather must deal with a drastic action taken by Bo; Elena and Nicolas' relationship is tested as Drew's arrival in Dallas continues to threaten their plans, and Emma takes a page out of her grandmother's playbook that ends in disaster. As cliffhangers build, lives and relationships are brought to the brink, setting the stage for showdown upon showdown.

Pamela descubre la relación de John Ross con Emma y da lugar a una crisis en Southfork que no sólo amenaza su matrimonio, sino también el de Bobby y Ann. Inesperadamente, Harris confiesa a Ann:

"Creo que lo nuestro podía haber funcionado, Annie. Te quería, pero creo que no tuvimos ninguna oportunidad. Nunca debimos habernos quedado en esta casa, no con esa mujer viviendo aquí. Destruye todo lo que toca, y eso hizo con lo más importante de mi vida: tú." Entonces, Harris besa a Ann con Judith observándolos por la ventana.

Christopher y Heather deben afrontar una decisión definitiva de Bo; Drew pone a prueba la confianza de Elena hacia Nicolás ya que su regreso afecta además a sus planes contra los Ewing; y Emma sigue los pasos de su abuela y acaba provocando una catástrofe. Al final, las consecuencias de sus acciones harán peligrar varias vidas.

9/393: "DENIAL, ANGER, ACCEPTANCE" ("NEGACIÓN, RABIA, ACEPTACIÓN")

The Ewing family searches for answers as to who set the fire at Southfork Ranch and who will survive. Plus, while John Ross and Emma struggle with their role in Pamela's overdose, relationships among the family are forever changed. Sue Ellen confesses to Bobby and Ann that she started the fire:

"I was drunk, and I came down to get more to drink. And then I remembered that John Ross had a bottle in his room. And I saw their wedding invitation, and I lit it on fire. And then I passed out. I am so sorry I lied to all of you. I’m an alcoholic — and I will be until I die." But actually, it was Drew who did it.

La familia Ewing investiga quién provocó el incendio en Southfork, que afortunadamente no se cobró ninguna víctima. John Ross y Emma discuten a causa de su responsabilidad ante la sobredosis de Pamela, y las relaciones familiares cambian para siempre: Sue Ellen confiesa a Bobby y Ann que fue ella quien provocó el incendio:

"Estaba borracha y entré buscando algo más para beber. Entonces me acordé de que John Ross tenía una botella en su habitación, y vi la invitación para su boda, y le prendí fuego. 10/394: "DEAD RECKONING" ("NAVEGACIÓN POR ESTIMA")

The dark cloud over Southfork continues to grow with the news of the death of Drew Ramos, presumably a suicide. Meanwhile, Christopher and Heather's relationship is put to the test as John Ross tries to redeem himself with Pamela, who begins to face the real reasons behind her overdose. Elsewhere, Elena makes a drastic move to get justice for her family, putting John Ross directly in her cross-hairs.

"I spent my entire childhood trying to get my father to love me - Pamela tells John Ross at the hospital - . And all I’ve done in my adult life was continue that pattern by falling for a man who would put greed and ambition before me. And just like with my father, I was willing to do anything to get you to love me, John Ross. But I see now: Our marriage was just an excuse to get my shares of Ewing Global. You didn’t put your mother away to get her help, but to push the IPO through. I see now that there will never enough success, enough money, to fill that hole where your heart should be."

"Pamela, please. I swear, from now on it’s going to be different, okay? I will be different for you. - John Ross promises her. But she coldly answers: "You ask me what I want. I want you to leave because our marriage is over."

La mala suerte continúa cerniéndose sobre Southfork cuando llega la noticia de la muerte de Drew Ramos, presuntamente un suicidio. Mientras, la relación de Christopher y Heather llega a su fin y John Ross intenta redimirse a los ojos de Pamela, que reconoce el verdadero motivo de su sobredosis. Elena toma una decisión drástica para hacer justicia a favor de su familia, y apunta directamente a John Ross.

"Me pasé toda la infancia intentando que mi padre me quisiera - explica Pamela a John Ross en el hospital - . Y todo lo que he hecho como adulta ha sido continuar con esa conducta al creer a un hombre que antepondría la avaricia y la ambición a mí. E igual que mi padre, deseaba hacer lo que fuera para que tú me quisieras, John Ross. Ahora lo veo claro: Nuestro matrimonio sólo era una excusa para conseguir mis acciones de la Ewing Global. Tú no te libraste de tu madre para que ella te ayudase, sino para poder lanzar la OPA. Ahora puedo ver que nunca tendrás suficiente éxito o dinero para llenar el hueco donde debería estar tu corazón."

"Por favor, Pamela. Te lo juro, a partir de ahora todo cambiará, ¿de acuerdo? Yo cambiaré por ti. - le promete John Ross. Pero ella le responde con frialdad: "Pídeme lo que quieras. Yo quiero que te marches porque nuestro matrimonio se ha acabado."

11/395: "HURT" ("SUFRIMIENTO")

In a thrilling showdown, Elena finally confronts the Ewings for what J.R. did to her father and for framing Cliff. Sue Ellen, Pamela and Ann are shocked over the truths Elena exposes, realigning relationships and forcing Bobby to re-examine the steps he took to implement J.R.'s master plan. "Miss Ellie would be ashamed of you!" - Sue Ellen yells at Bobby. Meanwhile, Nicolás's plan to steal Ewing Global for the cartel moves forward, setting the stage for a new battle. Later Sue Ellen goes to Bum´s to talk about JR:

"I’m sure you’re sorry for shooting J.R. - she tells him - I am sure you are sorry of robbing me of a goodbye. He was my husband! He was my love. I should have been the first one to know he was sick. Not you. I should have been the one that was there with him. Not you. I should have been — was he scared? Was he in pain?"

"He was brave. And he loved you very much." - he says, as Sue Ellen finds out that he was the one who painted JR´s portrait. "It was Bobby’s idea. I told him I’d be honored to do it. I was taking J.R. down to Mexico for his treatments, and of course, he was worried all his hair was going to fall out because of the chemo. And he said to me, “Bum, if I should lose these wondrous eyebrows of mine, please don’t tell Sue Ellen. She and her tweezers have been circling around these furry devils for half a century, and she’ll be devastated if she found out chemo got to them first.” Sue Ellen, can you ever forgive me?"

"You’re not the one I need to forgive." - she adds, tearfully.

Durante un tenso enfrentamiento, Elena saca por fin a relucir ante los Ewing lo que J.R. le hizo a su padre y la trampa que le puso a Cliff. Sue Ellen, Pamela y Ann se sorprenden al conocer los detalles a través de ella, y Bobby se ve obligado a reexaminar los pasos que tomó para llevar a cabo la "obra maestra" de JR. "Ellie se habría avergonzado de ti" - le dice furiosa Sue Ellen a Bobby. Mientras, el plan de Nicolás para hacerse con la Ewing Global y cedérsela al cártel sigue adelante y se prepara una nueva batalla por la empresa.

Más tarde, Sue Ellen visita a Bum para hablar con JR:

"Seguro que lamentas haber disparado contra JR - le dice - Seguro que lamentas haberme impedido que me despidiera de él. Fue mi marido, mi amor...Debí ser yo la primera en saber que estaba enfermo, no tú. Debí ser yo quien estuviera a su lado, no tú. Debí ser yo...¿Estaba asustado? ¿Lo pasó mal?"

"Fue valiente, y te quería mucho." - le explica mientras Sue Ellen descubre que fue Bum quien pintó el retrato de JR. "Fue idea de Bobby. Le dije que sería un honor para mí. Yo llevaba a JR a México para someterse a su tratamiento, y claro que le preocupaba que se le cayera todo el pelo por culpa de la quimio. Me rogó: “Bum, si perdiera estas maravillosas cejas mías, no se lo digas a Sue Ellen. Ella y sus pinzas han perseguido a estos diablos peludos durante medio siglo, y se quedaría desolada si supiera que la quimio se le adelantó.” Sue Ellen, ¿podrás perdonarme?"

"No eres tú a quien tengo que perdonar." - añade, llorosa.

12/396: "VICTIMS OF LOVE" ("VÍCTIMAS DEL AMOR")

As Ewing Global goes public, twists and turns abound while everyone scrambles to claim ownership. Pamela struggles with what to do now that she knows Cliff didn't really kill J.R., and Bobby seeks the aide of old flame Tracey McKay to help get back control of the company. Meanwhile, Judith and Harris work to fix their own problems with the cartel, which ends up putting lives in the balance and aligning the Rylands and Ewings in a way no one ever expected.

In Mexico, Cliff receives the last visit from his daughter:

"I’m sorry for helping the Ewings put you in jail, for failing to protect your legacy. That plot of land was robbed from your father. And because of that, I was robbed from ever having one. Because if you truly loved me — because if you truly wanted to protect me — then you never would have done what you did when you killed my babies. I can never forgive you for that."

A trembling Cliff answers: "What matters now is that you do know the truth — and I didn’t kill J.R. So now, you can get me out of jail. We can have a second chance. We can start all over. We can get the company back — together. I love you, Pamela. I miss you so much.I’m so sorry for what I did. But you want to leave me here? And you’ll forgive me if I stay in prison? I know I failed you."

"You avenged the wrongs done to your father, and I’ve avenged the wrongs done to me by mine. Goodbye, Daddy." - Then Pamela leaves the place, leaving an astounded Cliff behind.

Cuando la Ewing Global sale a bolsa, todo el mundo intenta sacar el mejor partido de la situación. Pamela no sabe qué hacer ahora que sabe que Cliff no mató a JR, y Bobby recurre a su antigua novia Tracey McKay en busca de ayuda para recuperar el control de la empresa. Entretanto, Judith y Harris trabajan horas extra para resolver sus problemas con el cártel, lo cual acaba poniendo en peligro a varias personas y uniendo a los Ewing y los Ryland de forma inesperada.

En México, Cliff recibe una última visita de su hija:

"Siento haber ayudado a los Ewing a enviarte a la cárcel, haberte fallado al proteger tu legado. Esa historia del terreno se la robaste a tu padre. Y por ese motivo, yo nunca he tenido a un padre. Porque si me hubieras querido de verdad, si me hubieras querido proteger, nunca me habrías hecho lo que hiciste cuando mataste a mis hijos. Nunca podré perdonarte eso."

Un tembloroso Cliff responde: "Lo que ahora importa es que conoces la verdad, y yo no maté a JR. Ahora ya puedes sacarme de la cárcel. Podremos tener una segunda oportunidad y empezar de nuevo. Podremos recuperar la empresa juntos. Te quiero, Pamela, y te echo mucho de menos. Siento mucho lo que te hice. Pero, ¿quieres dejarme aquí? ¿me perdonas y me dejas en la cárcel? Sé que te he fallado."

"Tú vengaste las injusticias que soportó tu padre, y yo he vengado las que he soportado por tu parte. Adiós, papá." - Entonces, Pamela se marcha de allí dejando tras de si a un atónito Cliff.

13/397: "BOXED IN" ("ENJAULADAS")

In the wake of the kidnapping of his wife and stepdaughter, Bobby puts everything on the line to save lives. John Ross and Pamela form a truce of sorts. Elena, who's been in hiding with Nicolas, finally learns the truth about his connections to the cartel, which sends her spiraling. Christopher desperately searches for Elena, fearing for her safety. And Bobby is forced to make a choice he never anticipated and makes his own offer to drug dealer Luis:

"You can continue to hold Ann and Emma if you want, or you can be smart and show your boss that you were the one who could amass a giant fortune in one night". Then he proposes him to export drugs in a night train by using his new job.

Después de saber que su mujer e hijastra han sido secuestradas, Bobby se lo juega todo para poder salvarles la vida. John Ross y Pamela firman una tregua. Elena, que se ha ocultado lejos con la ayuda de Nicolás, descubre por fin las conexiones de éste con el cártel y se siente desesperada. Christopher la busca sin descanso ya que teme por su seguridad. Bobby deberá decidir algo que nunca habría imaginado y le hace a Luis su propia oferta:

"Si quieres puedes seguir reteniendo a Ann y Emma, o ser inteligente y demostrarle a tu jefe que eres capaz de amasar una fortuna en una sola noche." A continuación le propone exportar drogas en un tren nocturno aprovechándose de su nuevo cargo.

While Christopher races to find Elena, Bobby is double-crossed by the cartel. No longer able to sit by, John Ross puts his own life on the line to attempt a rescue. Meanwhile, Nicolas tries to prove himself to Elena by making a deal with the authorities that puts him on a collision course with John Ross' plan and places both their lives in jeopardy.

At a critical moment, Luis, Nicolás and their boss Orestes, alias El Pozolero, get entangled in an argument:

"We are not businessmen who commit crimes. We are criminals who do business. - explains El Pozolero to his protegé - But this confusion is not your fault. It’s mine. I coddled you. I never asked you to get your hands dirty. Murder is a wonderful bonding experience, Nicolás. It proves to me that you are truly committed to our future together."

Christopher va en busca de Elena mientras Bobby es traicionado por el cártel. Incapaz de permanecer impasible, John Ross arriesga su propia vida para intentar rescatar a Ann y Emma. Nicolás se esfuerza por demostrar a Elena su valía haciendo un trato con las autoridades que lo coloca en medio del plan de John Ross y las vidas de ambos corren peligro.

En un momento crítico, Luis, Nicolás y su jefe Orestes, alias El Pozolero, se enzarzan en una discusión:

"No somos hombres de negocios que cometen crímenes. Somos criminales que hacen negocios - explica El Pozolero a su protegido - Pero esta confusión no es culpa tuya, sino mía. Yo te consentí. Nunca te pedí que te ensuciaras las manos. Matar es una experiencia magnífica que une a las personas, Nicolás. Me demuestra que realmente te has comprometido conmigo a largo plazo."

15/399: "BRAVE NEW WORLD" ("UN NUEVO MUNDO")

The Ewings and the Rylands finally force the cartel to pay the piper as some lives are saved and others are lost. Bobby and Sue Ellen form a new alliance to protect the family, which pits them against John Ross, who is still trying to regain control of Ewing Global and fix his marriage to Pamela. Elena is pushed to the brink when she finds out the real depths of Nicolas' betrayal. As the season comes to an end, enemies are unmasked, and new alliances are formed:

"I just wanted to let you know - he tells Sue Ellen and Bobby at Ewing Global offices - that there are no hard feelings about what you did to me. And I wanted to let you know that I am sorry to hear that you had to resign as railroad commissioner to buy those shares. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the new railroad commissioner." Then the elevator door opens and Judith Ryland comes in.

"Well, you can partner with the devil all you want to, boy - Bobby says to his nephew - It won’t make any difference. I’ll always see it coming. In a lifetime, your daddy never got the best of me, and he was twice the opponent you’ll ever be."

"You see, that’s just it, Uncle Bobby. The last few months, no matter how much my old man I try to be, everybody keeps telling me, “You are just like your father.” I’ve done some soul-searching, and I finally figured out the answer. I am not just like my father. I’m worse!"

As Christopher meets his unpredictible fate, John Ross learns through Emma a shocking secret about J.R. that sends him halfway around the globe in search of a surprising new cohort: his half-sister.

Los Ewing y los Ryland obligan finalmente al cártel a pagar por sus crímenes. Bobby y Sue Ellen forman una nueva alianza para proteger a la familia, enfrentándolos de nuevo a John Ross, que sigue ansiando el control de la Ewing Global y hacer las paces con Pamela. Elena averigua hasta qué punto Nicolás la ha estado traicionando. En las últimas escenas, los enemigos son desenmascarados y se crean nuevas alianzas:

"Sólo quería que supierais - comunica a Sue Ellen y Bobby en las oficinas de la Ewing Global - que no os guardo rencor por lo que me habéis hecho. Y que siento que hayas tenido que dimitir como comisionado de ferrocarriles para poder comprar las acciones. Aprovecho esta ocasión para presentaros a la nueva comisionada." Entonces se abre la puerta del ascensor y entra Judith Ryland.

"Bien, puedes asociarte con el diablo siempre que quieras, chico - Bobby dice a su sobrino - Eso no cambiará nada. Siempre podré prever lo que hagas. En toda su vida, tu padre nunca consiguió derrotarme, y era un adversario dos veces más fuerte de lo que nunca serás."

"Sabes, de eso se trata, tío Bobby. En los últimos meses, sin importar cuánto he querido parecerme a mi viejo, todos han seguido diciéndome: “Eres igual que tu padre.” He estado meditando y al final, he encontrado la respuesta. No soy como mi padre: soy peor."

Mientras Christopher se enfrenta a su imprevisible destino, John Ross descubre a través de Emma descubre un impactante secreto sobre JR que le lleva a iniciar una búsqueda por todo el mundo, de un pariente cuya existencia ignoraba: su hermanastra.
