Sin saber si confiar en GREG o TED, PAIGE acaba eligiendo a TED y lo lleva a su casa. El quiere la llave, pero ella le da una falsa. Descubre que RICK tenía una cabaña en SPRING LAKE y va hasta allí. La oficina de correos está cerrada y coge una habitación en un motel, mientras que TED la sigue y espera en un bar a que abra la oficina. GREG se presenta allí con un guardaespaldas y exige a TED que le dé la llave. VAL no se cree que DANNY está enfermo cuando anula una cita con ella y le lleva sopa de pollo, comprobando aliviada que está enfermo de veras. GARY sigue hablando con la amiga de SALLY y acuerdan verse en persona. Mientras hablan por teléfono, GARY oye cómo entra un hombre y la mujer le ordena a gritos que se marche. Luego se oye "'¡No!" y ruido de forcejeo, y la llamada se corta...
Not knowing whether to trust Greg or Ted, Paige finally chooses Ted and has him bring her home. He wants her to give him the key, but she gives him a fake one. She finds out Rick had a cabin in Spring Lake, so she drives up there. The post office is closed, so she gets a hotel room. Ted also drives up to Spring Lake and waits in a bar for the post office to open. Greg shows up with a big goon, and demands Ted give him the key. Val doesn't believe Danny is sick when he cancels a date with her, so she brings him chicken soup. She's relieved to find out he really is sick. Gary continues to talk to Sally's friend. They agree to meet. While on the phone, Gary hears a man come in and Sally's friend yelling at him to leave, and then screaming "NO!" and a lot of noises. Then the phone goes dead.

GARY no consigue encontrar a la amiga de SALLY. VAL confía a KAREN que se está enamorando de DANNY, pero no se lo toma en serio cuando le pide matrimonio. En SPRING LAKE, PAIGE consigue el sobre con los documentos originales de Murakame que tenía ABBY, y los negativos de las fotos de TED con NAGATA. TED sigue a PAIGE y, cuando pincha una rueda, esconde los documentos en el toallero del lavabo del garaje, y escapa por la ventana. PAIGE recupera los documentos después de que GREG se va. Se detienen en la carretera, donde una grúa saca el coche de TED del lago. Creen que se ha ahogado, pero no es así: hace autostop y vuelve a la ciudad...
Gary has no luck finding Sally's friend. Val tells Karen she's falling in love with Danny, but doesn't take him seriously when he proposes. In Spring Lake, Paige finds the post office box, and takes the envelope which contains Abby's original Murakame documents and negatives of Ted with Nagata. Ted follows her. Paige gets a flat tire, so she pulls into a garage to have it fixed. She hides the documents in the towel holder and jumps out the window as Ted breaks in. Paige retrieves the real papers after Greg leaves. They stop in the road where tow trucks are pulling Ted's truck out of a lake. They think Ted drowned, but he hasn't. He flags down a car to drive him back to town.

KAREN se preocupa al saber que MACK y PAULA compartieron la habitación del motel, pero él le asegura que no pasó nada. ERIC acepta un empleo en ARABIA SAUDÍ, y pide a su madre que acoja a LINDA durante su ausencia. La amiga de SALLY resulta llamarse AMANDA, y ser la profesora de guardería de los gemelos. DANNY y VAL duermen juntos, y luego él va a casa de AMANDA, con quien también mantiene una relación. HAROLD y OLIVIA discuten por sus problemas económicos. GREG confiesa a PAIGE que la echa de menos y quiere que vuelva al trabajo, pero ella se siente furiosa porque GREG envía a TED a JAPÓN en vez de entregarlo a la policía. Solos en el ascensor PAIGE y TED se abofetean, y él le dice que es la debilidad de GREG porque la ama, y debería aprovecharse de eso...
Karen is upset that Mac and Paula shared a hotel room, but he assures her nothing happened. Eric takes a job in Saudi Arabia, and asks if Linda can live with Karen. Sally's friend turns out to be Amanda, the twins' nursery school teacher. Danny and Val sleep together, and then Danny goes to Amanda's, whom he also has a relationship with. Harold and Olivia fight over their finances. Greg tells Paige he misses her and wants her to come back to work. Paige is furious that Greg sends Ted to Japan instead of having him arrested. Riding down in the elevator, Paige and Ted slap each other. Ted tells Paige she's Greg's weakness because he loves her, and she should take advantage of that.

PAIGE pide a GREG el despacho que tenía ABBY, un coche y 120.000 dólares al año. El accede y también le paga a MICHAEL 100.000 por su programa informático y le ofrece un empleo. KAREN se enfada porque su hijo ha aceptado el cargo y ha dejado la universidad. LINDA acusa a KAREN de no apoyar a MICHAEL. Los gemelos preguntan a GARY si puede vivivr con ellos porque odian a DANNY. PAULA intenta disculparse ante KAREN por haberse encaprichado con MACK, pero ella se muestra fría hacia ella. GARY va a escuchar cantar a FRANK, y no se da cuenta de que la primera cantante es AMANDA. Ve cómo esta se sienta con DANNY, y se sorprende cuando este la besa. Los sigue al párking y oye a la mujer llamar Chester a su perro, lo cual confirma sus sospechas de que AMANDA es la amiga de SALLY...
Paige tells Greg she wants Abby's office, a car, and $120,000 a year. Greg agrees. Greg also pays Michael $100,000 for his computer program and gives him a job. Karen's angry that Michael accepted and quit college. Linda tells Karen she's being unsupportive. The twins ask Gary if they can live with him because they hate Danny. Paula tries to apologize to Karen for her crush on Mac, but Karen is cool towards her. Gary goes to hear Frank sing. He doesn't realize that the first singer is Amanda. He sees Amanda go to sit with Danny, and is shocked to see Danny kissing her. He follows them out to the parking lot. He hears Amanda call her dog Chester, and realizes that she is Sally's Friend.

GARY pide a DANNY el número de AMANDA, y él le dice que es su mujer, lo cual preocupa a VAL. PAIGE se niega a salir con GREG, que se siente frustrado. GINNY lleva a los niños a ver a su amiga JERI a su oficina en Industrias OAKMAN. Allí JERI roba 17.000 dólares y GINNY es arrestada como su cómplice. El abogado de OAKMAN, MARK BAYLOR, comunica a MACK que no la acusarán si devuelve el dinero, pero JERI se niega porque ellos han cancelado su pensión, y sólo lo devolverá si las pensiones se restablecen. MACK considera sospechoso que OAKMAN no quiera acusarlas. Entonces, JERI aparece muerta en el asfalto, tras caer por la ventana de su apartamento...
Gary goes to Val's and asks Danny for Amanda's number. Danny says Amanda is his wife, which upsets Val. Danny says they've been separated for 9 months. Val tells him she wants nothing more to do with him. Amanda goes to see Gary. Paige won't go out with Greg, and he's really frustrated. Ginny takes the twins to see her friend Jeri at her office at Oakman Industries. While there, Jeri steals $17,000, and Ginny is arrested as an accessory. Oakman's attorney, Mark Baylor tells Mac they won't prosecute Jeri if she returns the money. Jeri refuses because they dissolved her pension, and says she'll only return the money if all pensions are restored. Mac thinks it's fishy that Oakman doesn't want to prosecute. Then Jeri is found splattered on the sidewalk below her apartment window.

DANNY declara su amor a AMANDA entre lágrimas y le dice que no quiere divorciarse. Luego hace las paces con VAL. Una amiga de KAREN le pide que la sustituya en el programa de TV OPEN MIKE, y allí descubre sorprendida que GREG es el invitado. PAULA se ofrece a ayudar a KAREN y las dos mujeres se reconcilian. PAULA y GREG discuten y luego deciden comer juntos. MACK y FRANK no creen que JERI se suicidara y averiguan que MARK estaba en su edificio cuando murió. MACK cree que MARK mató a JERI. El forense informa de que murió de un golpe en la cabeza antes de caerse, y GINNY es detenida por el asesinato...
Danny cries to Amanda that he loves her and doesn't want a divorce. Later he makes up with Val. Karen's friend asks her to sub for her on the TV show "Open Mike". Karen's surprised to find that Greg is the guest. Paula comes down to support Karen, and they make up. Paula and Greg argue and verbally spar, and decide to have lunch. Mac and Frank don't think it was a suicide and find out Mark Baylor was in her building at the time. Mac thinks Mark killed Jeri. The coroner says she died from a blow to her head before the fall. Ginny is arrested for the murder.

GINNY es puesta en libertad cuando encuentran el dinero en el apartamento de MARK. Este le pide a MACK que lo defienda, ya que OAKMAN le puso una trampa para evitar que su contabilidad se haga pública. GINNY halla el dinero entre las joyas de JERI. GREG proporciona a PAIGE su clienta más importante, la Sra. RICHFIELD. PAIGE conoce a TOM RYAN. GREG invita a PAULA a una fiesta de la empresa, pero ella lo acusa de utilizarla para darle celos a PAIGE. Esta flirtea con TOM en la fiesta, y acaban haciendo el amor en el ascensor. LINDA se ofrece a acompañar a MICHAEL fingiendo que se llama "THERESA" y, más tarde, se dan cuenta de que sienten mutua atracción. GARY pide a AMANDA que se vaya de fin de semana con él sin decírselo a DANNY...
Ginny's off the hook when the money is found in Baylor's apartment. Baylor asks Mac to defend him, and says Oakman is setting him up because they don't want their books made public. Going through Jeri's jewelry, Ginny finds the money. Greg gives Paige his biggest client - the Richfield account. Paige meets Tom Ryan. Greg brings Paula to a company party, but Paula accuses him of using her to make Paige jealous. Paige sees Tom at the party, and they flirt and make love in the elevator. Linda offers to go with Michael to the party, and they pretend she is "Theresa". Later they realize they are very attracted to one another. Gary asks Amanda to go away for a weekend, but not to tell Danny.

KAREN vuelve a cubrir a su amiga en "Open Mike" al tiempo que se preocupa porque MICHAEL está gastando demasiado dinero. MACK y MARK van al juzgado a devolver el dinero que GINNY encontró y, tras ver a TOM en el baño, MARK le dice a MACK que es culpable y lo despide. MACK intenta devolverlo pero el fiscal no lo acepta, y contacta con ARNOLD ZIMMER, antiguo empleado de OAKMAN, y accede a formar parte del pleito, pero, cuando MACK informa a TOM, ZIMMER le rompe el brazo y se echa atrás. A pesar de que le advierten que no lo haga, TOM pide una cita a PAIGE...
Karen fills in on "Open Mike" again. Harold and Olivia continue to argue about money. Karen worries that Michael's spending has gotten out of control. Mac and Mark Baylor go to the courthouse to turn in the money that Ginny found. After seeing Tom in the bathroom, Mark tells Mac he is guilty, and fires him. Mac tries to turn in the money, but the DA won't accept it. Mac contacts Arnold Zimmer, who also worked at Oakman, and he agrees to be part of a class action suit. Mac tells Tom, and then Mr. Zimmer breaks his arm and refuses to be part of the suit. They tell Tom to stop seeing Paige. He argues with them, but stands her up for a date.

PAIGE visita a TOM en la comisaría y él le dice que lo suyo no funcionaría. OAKMAN le advierte que si sigue viéndola, algo podría ocurrirle a PAIGE. MARK se declara culpable y le condenan a 3 años de prisión. DANNY se enfurece cuando le entregan los papeles del divorcio, y luego lleva a VAL al lugar donde AMANDA canta. Delante de VAL y GARY, AMANDA y DANNY mantienen una fuerte discusión y se gritan porque DANNY quiere quedarse con CHESTER. Cuando ella vuelve a casa, el perro no está y ella va a buscarlo a casa de DANNY. Este encierra al perro en el cuarto de baño y viola a AMANDA...
Paige goes to see Tom at the police station, and he tells her they wouldn't work out. Oakman again tells Tom to break it off, or something could happen to Paige. Mark pleads guilty and gets 3 years. Danny is upset when he is served with divorce papers. Danny brings Val to hear Amanda sing. In front of Val and Gary, Amanda and Danny have a huge argument and scream at each other because Danny wants Chester in the divorce. When Amanda gets home, Chester is gone so she goes to Danny's. Danny locks Chester in the bathroom and rapes Amanda.

PAIGE y TOM vuelven a verse. JOE, secuaz de OAKMAN, la ataca y le roba el bolso delante de TOM. Este informa a OAKMAN que sólo la ve porque MACK sigue trabajando en el caso. AMANDA sufre una crisis y deja su empleo, evitando a GARY. TOM comenta a MACK que ha oído que un tal POMERANTZ tiene pruebas contra OAKMAN. LINDA anuncia que ella y ERIC se van a divorciar, y le da un beso a MICHAEL, que se pone nervioso. KAREN se convierte en la presentadora permanente de "Open Mike" y su primer programa trata de la violación, lo cual pone incómodo a DANNY. GARY reconoce la voz de AMANDA cuando llama al programa como una víctima. Mientras, DANNY regala a VAL un anillo de compromiso y ella le confía a KAREN que lo ama más de lo que ha amado a nadie, incluido GARY...
Paige and Tom get back together. Joe, who works for Oakman, punches Paige and steals her purse in front of Tom. Tom calls Oakman and says he's dating her because Mac's back on the case. Tom tells Mac he overheard that a man named Pomerantz has evidence against Oakman. Amanda, who is a wreck, quits her job and avoids Gary. Linda announces that she and Eric are divorcing, and kisses Michael, which freaks him out. Karen becomes the permanent host of "Open Mike". Her first show, on rape, makes Danny uncomfortable. Gary recognizes Amanda's voice as a call-in-viewer who was recently raped. Danny gives Val an engagement ring, and she tells Karen she loves Danny more than she ever loved anyone, even Gary.

GARY convence a AMANDA para que vaya a la policía a denunciar a DANNY por violación, pero no existen pruebas ya que ella fue a su casa por voluntad propia y luego se dio una ducha. AMANDA y GARY tratan de convencer a VAL de que DANNY es un violador pero ella cree que está siendo vengativa y no la cree. GARY llama a DANNY para decirle que AMANDA está inventándose cosas horribles sobre él y deberían conseguirle ayuda psiquiátrica, a lo que él accede, así que GARY le pide que vaya al rancho. Una vez allí, GARY lo encierra en el establo y lo ataca con un bate de béisbol, mientras él se queja y se coloca en posición fetal. Entonces GARY abre la puerta y le pregunta si lo ha disfrutado...
Gary convinces Amanda to go to the police and report that Danny raped her. She does, but because she went to Danny's of her own free will and took a shower, there's no evidence. Amanda and Gary try to convince Val that Danny is a rapist, but she thinks Amanda is being vengeful, and won't believe it. Gary calls Danny and says Amanda is making up horrible things about him, and they should get her psychiatric help. Danny agrees, so Gary invites him to the ranch. Gary locks Danny in the stable and goes after him with a baseball bat. Danny is cowering and whimpering in a fetal position, and then Gary unlocks the door and asks Danny if he enjoyed it.

PAULA confiesa a GREG que está harta de que sólo la llame para divertirse, y tendrá que demostrarlo si de verdad la quiere. MICHAEL ayuda a LINDA a buscar un apartamento. ERIC llega de visita y comenta a su hermano que LINDA le ha pedido el divorcio, pero él no lo desea, por lo que MICHAEL pide a la chica que resuelva sus problemas con ERIC. En la fiesta de cumpleaños de MICHAEL, OLIVIA y HAROLD se pelean y flirtean con otras personas, y ella acaba quitándose el anillo. LINDA le dice a KAREN que está preocupada porque no quiere a ERIC, sino a MICHAEL. VAL asegura a KAREN que no dejará que otra de las amantes dementes de GARY le arruine la vida.
Paula tells Greg that she's tired of him only calling her as a diversion, so if he wants her he'll have to prove it. Michael helps Linda find an apartment. Eric comes to visit and tells Mike that Linda wants the divorce, but he wants to win her back. Michael tells Linda to work things out with Eric. At Michael's birthday party, Olivia and Harold fight and flirt with others. Olivia takes off her ring and leaves. Linda's upset and Karen tells her not to worry, she and Eric will work things out. Linda says she doesn't want Eric. She loves Michael. Val tells Karen she won't let another one of Gary's demented lovers ruin her life.

MACK averigua que POMERANTZ ha muerto y que el médico que firmó su certificado de defunción trabaja para OAKMAN y era tío del fallecido. MACK termina por sonsacarle que en realidad sigue vivo y reside en CANADÁ. GINNY acuerda con GARY no dejar nunca a los niños solos con DANNY. ERIC intenta reconciliarse con LINDA, que le confiesa que ya no le ama. Cuando descubre la verdad, se pelea con su hermano, hace las maletas y se marcha. LINDA se instala en su apartamento y MICHAEL en casa de HAROLD...
Mac discovers that Pomerantz is dead. He finds the doctor who signed his death certificate works for Oakman, and is Pomerantz's uncle. Mac pushes the doctor, who finally admits that Pomerantz is alive and living in Canada. Ginny agrees with Gary to never leave him alone with the twins. Eric tries to work things out with Linda, who says she no longer loves him. Mac and Karen confront Michael. Eric overhears and punches Michael. Eric packs and leaves. Linda moves out to her apartment, and Michael decides to move in with Harold.

Mike loans Harold a lot of money, which he loses gambling. Olivia tells Gary she needs money for tuition, but instead invests it. Mac asks Tom to accompany him to Canada. Oakman sends Joe to Canada to kill Mac, since Tom won't. Pomerantz tells Mac that he'll trade his books of illegal loans for his freedom. They go to the airport and exchange books. Joe is about to shoot Mac when the police arrest Joe and thank Tom for the tip. Tom calls Oakman and says Joe screwed up. He says Mac has the books and is going to the DA. Oakman tells Greg that his pension fund scam is going to be exposed.

Este le pide su dinero, porque lo necesita para el apartamento que quiere comprar. MARY FRANCES visita a GREG, y le informa de que estuvo trabajando en un país del tercer mundo, pero ha vuelto para investigar biogenética. GREG se alegra mucho de verla y pasan tiempo juntos, pero, cuando va a verlo a su oficina, la joven recibe un disparo en la cabeza y muere...
Mac discovers that Greg owns Oakman Industries. Greg gives a press conference saying he fired Oakman and will restore the pension fund. Olivia makes a profit. Karen talks to her and explains that Harold is under a lot of pressure to provide for her, and she decides to give him another chance. Harold loses even more of Michael's money in a poker game. Michael asks for the money back, because he needs it for a condo he's buying. Mary Frances comes to see Greg. She was working in a third world country but came back to the states to research bio-genetics. Greg is really happy to see her and they spend time together. Mary Frances goes to Greg's office. He steps out to speak to his secretary when they hear a shot. Mary Frances has been shot in the head!

TOM descubre que PAIGE tuvo una relación con GREG y se enfurece porque no se lo había dicho. VAL y DANNY adelantan la fecha de su boda y GARY implora al párroco que no los case. DANNY le dice a VAL que GARY lo atacó con un bate, y ella se enfrenta a este. Pero GARY le asegura que, cuando se case y el párroco llegue a la parte de las objeciones, él se levantará y gritará "violador". Al final, VAL y DANNY se fugan para casarse con la única asistencia de GINNY y los gemelos...
The Sumner Group is in Chaos. Tom and police question everyone. Jane comes for Mary Frances's funeral. Tom discovers Paige had a relationship with Greg, and is angry she didn't tell him. Val and Danny move up their wedding date, and Gary implores her minister not to marry them. Danny tells Val that Gary attacked him with a bat. Val confronts Gary who tells her that when she gets married and the minister gets to the part about any objections, he's going to stand up and yell "Rapist, rapist, rapist!" Val and Danny elope with only Ginny and the twins at the service.

Both Michael and a bookie pressure Harold for money. Harold calls Tom and says he knows who he works for, but will keep it a secret if he helps him out financially. Greg gets drunk, and the ghosts of Mary Frances and Galveston follow him around. Jealous, Tom follows Paige to Greg's. Paige is angry, but Tom says he's never been in love before, and they make up. Carlos gives Greg floppy discs that Mary Frances had in Greg's computer. Police discover where the sniper shot from and due to garbage on the site, think he was there a long time, so Greg wasn't his target, Mary Frances was.

Greg discovers that Mary Frances had been part of a subversive group, and used his computer to look up shipments from Oakman Industries to Mombasa over the past two years. Danny charms the neighbors except for Karen, who "knows" that Gary is right about him. Gary and Amanda sleep together and she moves to Phoenix to start her life over. Paige breaks up with Tom when he lies to her. Mac figures out that Tom is a "dirty" cop who works for Oakman. Oakman tells Tom he has one last job for him. Harold empties Olivia's bank account to pay his bookie and goes to Florida. He leaves a note telling her to apologize to Michael and for her to have a nice life. Greg is shot.

Este descubre que los productos químicos de OAKMAN se emplean en agricultura pero fueron prohibidos en el país porque provocan cáncer de hígado. La empresa usó los fondos de pensión para abrir una nueva sede en AFRICA. De repente, OAKMAN aparece muerto. ERIC llega de visita y hace las paces con MICHAEL. LINDA acepta un empleo en el GRUPO SUMNER. KAREN no se lleva bien con su productora DIANNE, mientras que PAIGE y PAULA se alternan en su vigilia de GREG, paralizado y esperando una operación. La policía vigila su habitación de hospital, pero el novio de MARY FRANCES, ROBERT, trepa hasta la ventana de GREG y avisa a este de que va a inyectarle los productos químicos fabricados por GREG, así sufrirá como sus víctimas. Además, le informa de que su hija estaba muriéndose de la misma enfermedad, así que la mató para publicitar el tema, y luego mató a OAKMAN. ROBERT le pone la inyección a GREG y luego se entrega a la policía...
Paige and Tom make up, and she won't believe he is crooked until Mac gives her proof. Mac finds out the Oakman chemicals are used in agriculture, but banned in the US because they cause liver cancer. When the chemicals were banned, Oakman used the pension funds to start a new company in Africa. Oakman is found dead. Eric visits and he and Michael make up. Linda is hired at Sumner Group. Karen and her "Open Mike" producer Dianne don't get along. Paige and Paula keep vigil over Greg, who is paralyzed and needs an operation. Police guard Greg's hospital room. Mary Frances's boyfriend Robert climbs in Greg's window. Robert tells Greg he is going to inject him with the chemicals Greg made, so he will suffer like his victims. Robert says Mary Frances was dying of this, so he killed her to publicize the plight, and then killed Oakman. Robert injects the chemicals into Greg, then gives himself up to the police.

El productor asociado de KAREN, JEFF, mantiene una aventura con DIANNE, y les dice a ambas que la otra es difícil. ANNE reaparece inesperadamente en casa de PAIGE. PAULA confía a KAREN que quiere a GREG y permanece a su lado continuamente. ANNE pasa a visitarlo en el hospital. DANNY se lleva a los gemelos a pasar el día fuera, sabiendo que GARY también lo deseaba. Luego le dice que piensa adoptar a los niños. GARY quiere que VAL cuente a los gemelos que es su padre, y ella le dice a DANNY que no puede adoptarlos, lo cual provoca su ira. Le levanta la voz, le tira cosas, destroza una lámpara y la llama loca. VAL se siente aterrorizada...
Tom tells Paige he will always love her, and meeting her changed him, and he is going straight. Linda comes onto Michael, and gets nasty when he rejects her. Associate producer Jeff is having an affair with Dianne. He tells both Karen and Dianne that the other is difficult. Anne unexpectedly shows up at Paige's. Paula tells Karen she loves Greg, and constantly stays at his side. Anne stops by to visit, and he says "Anne!" Danny takes the twins out when he knows Gary is going to spend the day with them. Danny tells Gary he is adopting the twins. Gary wants Val to tell the twins he is their father. Val tells Danny that he can't adopt them, and Danny goes off. He yells, throws things at her, smashes a lamp and says she's crazy. Val is shocked.

ANNE llega y ambos ignoran a PAULA. Los gemelos cuentan a GARY que DANNY ha dicho que él no los quiere. VAL descubre que DANNY estuvo casado anteriormente con otra mujer llamada CHRISTINE AHERN. Llama al padre de esta, que le dice que DANNY maltrató y violó a su hija. Tras dejar a los gemelos con GARY, VAL va al despacho de MACK y, al no encontrarlo, le espera y le deja un mensaje para que la llame allí. Entonces entra DANNY, y oye el mensaje que GARY ha grabado para VAL. DANNY pierde los nervios y empieza a insultar a VAL, tirándose encima suyo e intentando ahogarla. VAL le apuñala con un abrecartas, y él la llama "zorra"...
Dianne tries to force Karen to quit. Linda is assigned to work with Michael. Paula tries to get Greg to follow doctors orders about changing his diet. Anne shows up and they ignore Paula. The twins tell Gary that Danny said Gary didn't love them. Val discovers Danny was married before Amanda to Christine Ahern. She calls her father who says Danny beat and raped his daughter. Since Gary has the twins, Val goes to Mac's office. He's not there, so she waits and leaves a message for Gary to call her there. Danny comes in and hears Gary leave a message for Val. Danny explodes and calls Val names. He forces her onto the desk and tries to choke her. Val stabs him with a letter opener to get away. He screams that she's a bitch.

PAT deja su empleo en el banco para volver a la medicina. FRANK argumenta que eso los pondría en peligro, así que, si lo hace, él cogerá a JULIE y se marcharán. VAL y los gemelos se quedan en el rancho. Luego ella y DANNY asisten a la audiencia por el incidente de la agresión, y él miente en todos los detalles. VAL explica a sus hijos que DANNY ya no vivirá nunca con ellos, y los niños se alegran. Pero entonces entra DANNY anunciando "Ya estoy en casa"...
Linda sucks up to Mrs. Richfield. Anne arranges to have Paula invited to an environmental conference, but Paula leaves early and finds Greg and Anne having a romantic dinner. Pat quits her job at the bank and longs to be a doctor again. Frank argues that would put them back in danger, so if she does he will take Julie and leave her. Val and the twins stay with Gary. Danny and Val go to court over the stabbing incident. Danny lies through his teeth. Val takes the twins home and explains that Danny won't be living with them anymore, and they're happy about it. Then Danny walks in and says, "I'm home!"

JEFF y DIANNE advierten a KAREN de que no debería mostrarse demasiado amistoso con sus fans. Un hombre le envía una rosa y le pide una foto de ella desnuda. PAIGE está celosa y disgustada porque GREG muestra interés por su madre. Más tarde, TOM le pide matrimonio. La policía avisa a VAL de que no puede obligar a DANNY a irse sin una orden de alejamiento. Ella se va con los niños y GINNY al rancho y después DANNY cambia las cerraduras y le dice a su abogado que quiere conseguir la casa en el acuerdo de divorcio. DANNY se emborracha y arroja las posesiones de VAL por el balcón, mientras se burla de GARY y VAL...
Harold calls and tells Michael he will pay him back. He apologizes to Olivia and declares his love. She decides to join him in Miami. Pat takes a job as an aide at a hospital and applies for her medical license. Frank decides to leave, but Julie won't go with him. Jeff and Dianne warn Karen about becoming too friendly with her fans. A man sends her a rose and requests a nude photo. Paige is jealous and disgusted with Greg's interest in Anne. Tom proposes to Paige. The Police tell Val that she can't make Danny leave without a court order. She takes Ginny and the twins and they stay at Gary's ranch. Danny changes the locks and tells his lawyer he wants the house in their divorce. Danny gets drunk and throws Val's possessions out the window. He taunts Gary and Val as they gather her things off the lawn.

PAULA acepta un empleo en TORONTO y manda a GREG a paseo. DANNY revela a los niños que GARY es su verdadero padre. BOBBY se enfada y se escapa, y GARY lo encuentra subido a un árbol. Luego les explica a ambos que sí es su padre. FRANK se queda a dormir en el bufete de MACK. MACK y KAREN intentan reconciliar a los WILLIAMS, y él decide volver a casa. Ambos salen a comprar helado, ya que es lo que siempre comen tras hacer las paces. DANNY se emborracha y sigue bebiendo mientras conduce hacia casa. Entra en la calle al mismo tiempo que PAT y, por desgracia, cuando ella sale de su coche, él la atropella...
Paige tells Tom she'll live with him, and later accepts his proposal. A man named Wayne is following Karen and has several photos of her on his wall. Paula accepts a job in Toronto and tells Greg off. Danny tells the twins that Gary is their father. Bobby is upset and runs away. Gary finds him in a tree, and he explains to the twins that he is their father. Frank stays at the law office. Mac and Karen try to get the Williams' back together. Frank decides to come home, so they both go out to buy spumoni, as they always eat spumoni when making up after a fight. A bartender cuts Danny off, as he's very drunk. Danny buys liquor and drinks it while driving home. He and Pat pull into the cul-de-sac at the same time. Tragically, when she gets out of her car, Danny hits her.

Luego GREG le da un diamante enorme y le sugiere que vivan juntos, pero ella no lo acepta. GREG está muy molesto porque PAIGE va a casarse, y busca información en contra de TOM. PAT es llevada con urgencia al hospital y entra en coma. FRANK visita a DANNY en la cárcel, y le coge por el cuello, asegurándole que, si sale bajo fianza, convertirá su vida en una pesadilla viviente. Más tarde su abogado paga la fianza. Cuando PAT sale del coma, ella y FRANK se declaran su amor, pero luego PAT sufre un coágulo sanguíneo y vuelve al coma...
Gary loves being a family, and Val is happy too. Diane hires a security guard for Karen - Wayne. Tom gives Paige an engagement ring in a "Happy Meal". Greg then gives Paige a HUGE diamond, and suggests they live together. She gives it back to him. Greg is truly upset over Paige's engagement, and hires a detective to get him information on Tom. Pat is rushed to the hospital, and is in a coma. Frank goes to the jail to see Danny. Frank grabs him by the neck and says if he gets out on bail, Frank will be his worst nightmare. Later Danny's attorney posts bail. Pat wakes up, and she and Frank declare their love. Later Pat has a blood clot and goes into another coma.

ANNE le quita a PAIGE su permiso de conducir y sustituye la foto por la suya, abriendo una cuenta en nombre de PAIGE. Los gemelos filman vídeos en el rancho y, cuando los ven, GARY repara que DANNY aparece escondido en segundo plano. KAREN recibe cartas extrañas de un fan que firma "mi amor, siempre". Le envía un pañuelo para que lo lleve en antena, pero ella se niega. Un foco del plató casi la golpea y, cuando llega a casa, encuentra una foto suya en mil pedazos, con la inscripción "te odio"...
Linda tries to make Michael jealous. The detective tells Greg that Tom used to be dirty but there is no real proof. Tom gets a new partner who accuses him of stealing $ 100,000 from a drug bust. Tom insists he didn't take the money. Anne steals Paige's driver's license and puts her photo on it. She opens a bank account as Paige. The twins take videos at the ranch. While watching them, Gary notices Danny in the background of a shot. Karen receives strange letters from a fan who signs his letters "my love always". He sends her a scarf to wear on the air, but she doesn't. A light on the set almost hits Karen. When she arrives home, she finds a photo of herself cut into pieces, with "I hate you" written on it.

TOM descubre asombrado que tiene en su cuenta 103.000 dólares. ANNE confiesa a su contable que no le habló a PAIGE de la herencia que recibirá cuando se case, y él le dice que le enviará el dinero cuando reciba el certificado de matrimonio. JEFF informa a KAREN que, si dimite, será DIANNE quien la reemplace. Luego la mujer recibe ramos de flores con serpientes escondidas en ellos. Aterrorizada, llama a WAYNE para que la proteja. MACK interroga a todos en la cadena y, cuando va a casa de WAYNE, encuentra su "monumento" a KAREN...
Danny serves Gary with a restraining order, so Gary starts following him around and hires detectives to follow Danny when he can't. Tom checks his bank balance and is shocked to find $103,000. Anne tells her accountant that she didn't tell Paige about the trust fund she'll get when she's married. The accountant tells her he'll send the money when he receives the marriage certificate. Jeff tells Karen that if she quits, Dianne will replace her as the host. Karen receives flowers that have snakes in them. Terrified, she calls Wayne to come over and stay with her. Mac questions everyone at the station. Since Wayne isn't there, he goes to his apartment, where the landlady is doing some repairs. He sees Wayne's "monument" to Karen.

PAIGE pide a MACK que ayude a TOM a averiguar quién va tras él. MACK se niega y ruega a GREG que diga que fue él quien le pagó el dinero a TOM, pero él no quiere. LINDA explica a MICHAEL que ERIC la pegaba y maltrataba, y él siente lástima de ella, accediendo a salir juntos. WAYNE es detenido por acosar a KAREN, pero él lo niega. Mientras está en la cárcel, alguien le lleva una caja con un corazón de vaca dentro y una nota que reza: "Tienes el corazón negro". El médico informa a FRANK que PAT sufre muerte cerebral y deberían desconectarla. DANNY se entera y va a su casa, diciendo que, si la desconecta, será FRANK quien haya matado a PAT, no él. JULIE no lo sabía y grita que conseguirá un abogado. FRANK le da un puñetazo a DANNY y MACK se acerca a separarlos. Después FRANK habla con su hija y, al día siguiente, DANNY entra en su casa y JULIE está allí, apuntándole con su rifle y diciendo que morirá antes que PAT...
Paige asks Mac to help Tom find out who is setting him up. Mac refuses, so she asks Greg to say he gave Tom the money, but he won't. Linda tells Michael that Eric hit and abused her. He feels bad for her, and they go out. Wayne is arrested for stalking Karen, but he denies it. While he's in jail, someone puts a cow's heart in a box with a note that says "you have a black heart". The doctor tells Frank that Pat is brain dead, and it's time to pull the plug. Danny finds out and goes to Frank's, saying if he pulls the plug, then Frank has killed Pat, not him. Julie didn't know about this and screams she's going to get a lawyer. Frank punches Danny, and Mac comes over to break it up. Frank has a talk with Julie. The next day, Danny comes home and Julie points Danny's rifle at him, saying that he is going to die before Pat does.

JULIE dispara contra DANNY pero falla el tiro, y al oírlo, FRANK acude y la disuade de seguir con ello para no convertirse en alguien como DANNY. PAT es desconectada del sistema respiratorio y muere mientras FRANK ke canta una canción. MICHAEL y LINDA duermen juntos y él le dice a KAREN que se casará con ella. VAL engaña a DANNY diciéndole que quiere volver con él y huirán juntos, a lo que él accede. Luego se va con el coche de VAL, pero la policía lo detiene porque han informado de que el coche había sido robado. VAL y GARY lo observan desde lejos y se abrazan. ANNE envía por fax un certificado de matrimonio falso al contable, y se dispone a que le ingresen la herencia de PAIGE en su nueva cuenta abierta al nombre de esta.
TOM y PAIGE se preparan para celebrar su boda, y GREG revela a TOM que le ha puesto una trampa y sólo lo dejará libre si se va del país. PAIGE se queda destrozada cuando TOM la deja plantada. GARY le propone de nuevo matrimonio a VAL mientras la policía encuentra pruebas de que es DIANNE quien ha estado aterrorizando a KAREN. La mujer pierde la cabeza y es ingresada en psiquiatría, donde hallan LSD en su sangre. Entonces, JEFF abre su álbum de fotos y recortes sobre presentadoras fallecidas, y pone el nombre de KAREN en la primera página vacía...
Julie shoots Danny but misses. Frank hears and talks her out of it by telling her not to become like Danny. Pat is taken off life support and dies as Frank sings to her. Michael and Linda sleep together, and he tells Karen that he is going to marry Linda. Val tells Danny she wants to get back together and will run away with him. He agrees and drives off in Val's car. He's pulled over and police tell him the car was reported stolen, and they arrest him. Val and Gary, watching from a distance, hug. Anne faxes a fake marriage certificate to the accountant, and sets it up to be wired to her own account she set up in Paige's name.
Tom and Paige get ready for their wedding ceremony. Greg tells Tom that he set him up, and will only clear him if he leaves the country. Paige is crushed when its discovered that Tom is gone. Gary proposes to Val. Mac and the police find evidence that proves that Dianne has been terrorizing Karen. Dianne goes crazy and is taken to a psych ward, where they find LSD in her blood. Then Jeff looks through a scrapbook he has of slain anchorwomen. He starts a new page. For Karen...
