KATE culpa a CLAUDIA por ponerle la trampa a STEVE. ANNE se topa con BENNY APPLEMAN, un fotógrafo que le debe dinero y la deja pasar la noche en su casa, al tiempo que preparan varias estafas. LINDA se encuentra en secreto con BRIAN. GARY conoce a JOSEPH BARRINGER, un profesor que realiza experimentos sobre la energía de las olas. Esta idea le emociona y decide apoyarle. Durante un viaje de negocios en TORONTO, PAIGE se queda hechizada por PIERCE LAWTON. Espera sus llamadas con impaciencia, pero al final él la visita en persona. En el hospital, JASON explica a KAREN que los otros chicos habían apuñalado a su amigo. KAREN discute con la madre de uno de los jóvenes, y más tarde el chico muere. La gente la convierte en una heroína por rebelarse contra la violencia callejera...

Kate blames Claudia for setting Steve up. Anne runs into Benny Appleman, who owes her money. He lets her stay with him, and they try to think up some scams. Linda secretly meets with Brian. Gary meets Joseph Barringer, a professor who is experimenting with how to capture ocean waves to make energy. Gary is excited by the idea and wants to back him. While in Toronto for business, Paige meets Pierce Lawton and is smitten. She waits by the phone for him to call, but he shows up at her apartment. Jason, in the hospital, tells Karen the other teens were the gang members who stabbed their friend. Karen tells one of the boy's mothers off, and then he dies. People make Karen into a hero for standing up to gang violence.

Cuando lo hace, él le devuelve la cinta y LINDA acude a su esposa para contarle dónde está. ANNE decide posar desnuda para una revista de moda. GARY y JOSEPH piden a GREG que se asocie con ellos en su nueva empresa, pero él no quiere volver a trabajar con el primero. Sin embargo, PAIGE sí está interesada. KATE se muda a un apartamento nuevo y no habla a su madre. El fiscal quiere que KAREN se declare culpable de imprudencia temeraria, pero MACK le aconseja que no lo haga. Brian tells Linda that his wife sent a detective after him, and he killed the detective. He needs Linda to pose as his wife to get gold coins out of his gym locker. She does, and he gives her the tape. Then Linda goes to his wife and tells her she knows where Brian is. Anne decides to pose nude for a fashion magazine. Gary and Joseph go to Greg to back their new company. Greg doesn't want to work with Gary again, but Paige is interested. Kate moves to a new apartment, and won't talk to Claudia. The DA wants Karen to plead guilty to reckless endangerment, but Mac says not to. Val meets a waitress, Lynette, from Mule Shoe Texas where Lilimae grew up. Paige and Pierce spend romantic time together, and he tells her he loves her.

Ella decide trabajar también en la nueva empresa. JOSEPH se niega a traicionar a GARY cuando GREG intenta financiarlo. PAIGE se siente ofendida porque ANNE se ha fotografiado desnuda. VAL se ofrece a enseñar a leer a LYNETTE. Los espectadores de "Open Mike" la alaban como a una heroína justiciera, pero ella, preocupada, niega que lo sea: se enfrentó a la violencia con violencia, y alguien acabó muerto. LINDA informa a la mujer de BRIAN de su paradero por 50.000 dólares, pero él la sigue y la ataca furioso en su apartamento, diciéndole que lo ha estropeado todo. Pierce is interested in Tidal Energy and meets with Gary and Joseph. Greg finds out Paige showed Gary's proposal to Pierce, and fires her. She decides to work at Tidal Energy too. Greg meets with Joseph about funding him, but he says he won't sell Gary out. Paige is embarrassed by Anne's nude layout. Val tells Lynette she will teach her to read. On "Open Mike" Karen's viewers laud her as a vigilante hero. Upset, she says she isn't a hero - she met violence with violence, and someone died. Linda tells Brian's wife where he is for $ 50,000. Brian follows her and surprises her at her condo. He's furious and tells Linda she spoiled everything. He stabs her and cuts her throat.

Su productora DEBBIE quiere salir con FRANK, pero él se siente mayor junto a ella. La policía informa a GREG de la muerte de LINDA. KATE repudia a su madre una vez más y CLAUDIA se siente muy afectada. KAREN la consuela y la invita a cenar, pero, cuando no aparece, los MACKENZIE van a verla y la hallan inconsciente en el suelo, víctima de una sobredosis de pastillas...

Karen's station insists she has Anne on as a guest. Anne admits on the show to being homeless. Karen tells Val she's lost interest in the show. Karen's producer Debbie asks Frank out, but he feels really old compared to her. Police tell Greg of Linda's murder. Kate tells Claudia off, and Claudia's really upset. Karen comforts her and invites her to dinner. When Claudia doesn't show, she and Mac go to Claudia's and find her passed out on the floor with an empty bottle of pills beside her.

CLAUDIA empieza a sufrir pesadillas sobre alguien que pide que le suministren sus medicinas. KATE cree que fingió el suicidio, pero KAREN la convence para que hable con su madre. Ambas hacen las paces, pero KATE sigue sin querer vivir con ella de nuevo...

Greg asks the police to pull out the stops in finding Brian, and hires his own detective to find him. Brian is following Greg. Pierce breaks up with his old girlfriend Victoria and tells Paige about her. Anne decides to do a call-in radio talk show. Claudia has nightmares of someone needing medication. Kate thinks she faked the suicide, but Karen convinces her to talk to Claudia. Kate makes up with her but says she still can't live with her.

Cuando encuentra una carta firmada por ROSA, CLAUDIA le expllica que era la enfermera de su madre, pero que solía llamarla "señorita BARTH". JOSEPH besa a KATE, pero los dos se sienten incómodos por ello. BRIAN mata al detective de GREG, y este pide a MACK que se asegure de que la policía lo atrapa. La empresa de Energía de las Mareas necesita espacio marítimo para sus experimentos, y GREG quiere bloquearles, así que ambas partes buscan el apoyo de un nuevo miembro de la comisión costera. La empresa acaba obteniendo el permiso y GREG se lleva una decepción...

Karen tells Claudia that she's been saying "Rosa" in her sleep. Claudia says she doesn't know a Rosa, but when Karen sees a letter signed Rosa, Claudia says Rosa was her mother's nurse but that she was used to calling her Miss Barth. Joseph kisses Kate, and they both feel awkward about it. Brian kills Greg's detective, so Greg asks Mac to make sure the police get him.Tidal Energy needs shoreline space for their experiments, and Greg wants to block them, so they both court a new member of the shoreline commission. Tidal Energy gets their permit, and Greg's disappointed.

El y KATE finalmente duermen juntos, mientras que DEBBIE rompe con FRANK porque ella desea una relación seria. PIERCE sueña que navega durante una tormenta con VICTORIA, que explica a PAIGE que PIERCE tiene un lado oscuro y pronto lo verá. La joven no quiere creerla. Después VICTORIA le confiesa que aún le ama, y le pregunta si ha hablado a PAIGE de la lista de datos. El le exige que les deje en paz. BRIAN sigue a GREG hasta la fiesta de cumpleaños de MEG. Cuando ha terminado, amenaza con su pistola a KAREN y MEG en su patio...

Anne's show is a success, and she tells Benny that she's getting her own apartment. He's upset because he has fallen in love with her. Joseph quits the University to work full time at Tidal Energy. Joseph and Kate sleep together. Debbie breaks up with Frank because she wants a serious relationship. Pierce has nightmares of sailing in a storm with Victoria. Victoria tells Paige that Pierce has a dark side and will turn on her, but Paige doesn't believe her. Victoria tells Pierce she still loves him, and asks if Paige knows about the data list. Pierce tells her to leave him alone. Brian follows Greg to Meg's birthday party. After the party, he pulls a gun on Karen and Meg in the backyard.

Le dejan varios mensajes pero él no responde, y BRIAN manda a MACK a hacer un encargo para él mientras trata de besar a KAREN. GREG llama al fin y BRIAN pide dinero y un coche, o lastimará a MEG. BRIAN ha atado a MACK, pero la niña lo desata. JULIE entra en la casa y MACK y BRIAN luchan por la pistola, y JASON recibe un disparo en la pierna. KAREN se hace con el arma y apunta a BRIAN hasta que llega la policía. La herida de JASON resulta ser sólo superficial...

Brian holds Karen, Mac, Jason and Meg hostage. He demands that Greg come over. They leave him several messages, but he doesn't call back. Brian sends Mac to cash some bonds and starts to kiss Karen, but Mac gets back. Greg finally calls and Brian demands money and a car, or he'll hurt Meg. Brian has tied up Mac, but Meg unties him. Julie barges in and Mac and Brian struggle for the gun, and Jason is shot in the leg. Karen gets the gun and holds it on Brian until the police arrive. Paramedics tell Jason he only has a flesh wound.

MEG y MACK tienen problemas para superar el incidente de BRIAN. KAREN asegura que no vivirá en una casa con un sistema de alta seguridad, pues significaría que el intruso ha ganado. JASON gana el concurso de redacción, pero se niega a ir a SUECIA. JOSEPH informa a sus inversores de que puede mejorar el modelo real de energía de las olas, pero será costoso. GARY decide hipotecar el rancho, mientras CLAUDIA descubre que ROSA BARTH ha fallecido. VICTORIA promete a GREG que le dará información sobre PIERCE que le permitirá hundirle. Más tarde, PAIGE la encuentra en su cama y pregunta a PIERCE por qué hace eso, lo cual le hace perder los estribos...

Meg and Mac have a hard time getting over the hostage situation, but Karen tells Mac she won't live in a high-security home, or Brian will have won. Jason wins the essay contest but doesn't want to go to Sweden. Tidal Energy's life-sized model doesn't work. Joseph says he can fix it, but it will take a lot of money. Gary decides to mortgage the ranch. Claudia receives an obituary that says Rosa Barth died. Victoria tells Greg she will give him information that will bring Pierce down. She follows Paige around, and Paige finds Victoria in her bed and asks Pierce why she's doing this. Pierce storms out.

GREG explica a PAIGE que, diez años antes, PIERCE y su novia embarazada salieron a navegar y ella se ahogó, y los rumores aseguran que él la mató. PIERCE desaparece y encuentran su coche en la playa, lo cual provoca el nerviosismo de PAIGE. Cuando vuelve a casa, le habla del accidente náutico y cuenta que no pudo salvar a su novia. VICTORIA le ayudó a recuperarse, pero no quiso dejarle marchar, y él no tenía razón para vivir hasta que la conoció a ella...

Mac advises Gary not to mortgage the ranch, and Val's upset that Gary doesn't know when to cut his losses, and Gary's mad that no one believes in him. Greg tells Paige that ten years ago Pierce took his pregnant girlfriend sailing and she drowned, but the rumor is that he killed her. Pierce disappears. His car is found at the beach, and Paige is really worried about him. Pierce comes home and tells Paige about the boat accident, and not being able to save his girlfriend. He says Victoria put him back together, but wouldn't let go when he didn't need her anymore, and that he had no reason to live until he met Paige.

Los EWING pasan la Navidad con sus antiguos vecinos, y VAL confiesa a KAREN que añora vivir en aquella calle. Cuando se va la luz, juegan a rugby y cantan villancicos. CLAUDIA y KATE visitan a GREG esa noche, y este pregunta a JOSEPH si puede mantener a KATE, ofendiendo al joven. JASON se marcha a SUECIA el día de Navidad. PIERCE ve una bata que ANNE le ha regalado a PAIGE, y se pone furioso porque cree que es de GREG. PAIGE lo niega, y él se pone a llorar, y desordena su armario buscando regalos de él. Entonces PAIGE lo echa de su casa...

The bank hesitates to loan Gary money because of Pierce's past. Greg has a renewed interest in Meg, and Mac and Karen are worried. The Ewings spend Christmas with the MacKenzies, and Val tells Karen she misses living in the cul-de-sac. The power goes out, so they play football and sing carols. Claudia and Kate go to Greg's for Christmas. Greg asks Joseph if he can support Kate, and Joseph is offended. Jason leaves for Sweden on Christmas day. Pierce sees a robe that Anne gave Paige, and is enraged thinking it's from Greg. Paige says it isn't, and he tears through her clothes to see what Greg gave her. She tells Pierce to get out.

MACK y KAREN deciden que GREG participe en la vida de MEG, pero prefieren esperar un poco antes de contarle que es adoptada. VICTORIA revela a MACK que PIERCE mató a su novia anterior y facilita a GARY la forma de contactar con previos socios suyos. Cuando los llama, sólo consigue malas referencias. VAL teme que la tensión provoque una recaída en su marido, y él está a punto, pero acaba acudiendo a una reunión de AA. CLAUDIA presiona a GREG para que ofrezca a JOSEPH un empleo en MASSACHUSETTS. JOSEPH descubre un fallo importante en su diseño y se da cuenta de que deberá empezar de nuevo. Cuando se niega a decírselo a GARY, KATE se enfada con él. ALEX, el sobrino de ROSA, aparece en casa de CLAUDIA, afirmando conocer su secreto, y decidido a hospedarse con ella. Enseguida intenta seducirla. PIERCE acusa a JOSEPH de pasar información a GREG, e intenta asfixiarlo, pero PAIGE llega y lo impide...

Mac and Karen decide to let Greg be in Meg's life but to wait awhile before telling her she's adopted. Victoria tells Mac that Pierce killed his last girlfriend and gives Gary numbers to Pierce's former business partners. Gary calls and only gets bad reports. Val is worried that the stress will cause Gary to drink, and he considers it, but goes to an AA meeting. Claudia has Greg get Joseph a job in Massachusetts. Joseph discovers a major flaw in his design and realizes he'll have to start over from scratch. He refuses to tell Gary, and Kate is angry. Alex, Rosa's nephew, shows up at Claudia's. He says he knows her secret and will be staying with her for awhile. He comes on to her. Pierce becomes enraged that Joseph spent Christmas at Greg's and accuses him of giving Greg information. Pierce tries to choke Joseph, but Paige interrupts and stops Pierce.

JOSEPH abandona la empresa y GARY le da un puñetazo, ya que tendrá que suspender las operaciones. VAL le consuela diciéndole que siempre se tendrán el uno al otro. JOSEPH pide a KATE que le acompañe, pero ella no quiere nada más con él. CLAUDIA pregunta a GREG por qué le consiguió un empleo en LA JOLLA en vez de MASSACHUSETTS, y él responde que quería arruinar la compañía, no que KATE perdiera a su novio. GREG puja luego para tener una cita con ANNE cpn fines benéficos. FRANK envía a JULIE de vuelta al este a vivir con unos parientes. ALEX espía en el talonario bancario de CLAUDIA y esta cocina la cena para él, insinuando que la ensalada podría estar envenenada. PIERCE culpa a GREG de la pérdida de la empresa y de PAIGE, y jura que lo destruirá. PIERCE va a la plataforma de energía de las mareas y trata de ahogar a PAIGE, pero ella se escapa...

Joseph quits and Gary is furious and punches him out. Gary has to suspend operations, but Val comforts him and says they still have each other. Joseph asks Kate to go with him, but she wants nothing to do with him. Claudia asks Greg why he got him a job in La Jolla instead of MA, and Greg says he wanted to ruin the company, but didn't want Kate losing her boyfriend. Greg buys a date with Anne at a charity auction. Frank sends Julie back east to live with relatives. Alex goes through Claudia's bank book. Claudia cooks him dinner and implies the salad dressing is poisoned. Pierce blames Greg for the loss of the company and his breakup with Paige, and tells Greg he will destroy him. Pierce comes up to Paige at the Tidal Energy Ocean Site, and holds her over the rushing water, but she gets away.

La tira contra el vestidor y le dice que piensa acabar con GREG. PAIGE aconseja a este que contrata un guardaespaldas. Por fin, GREG y ANNE duermen juntos. GARY accede a llevar el rancho para el nuevo dueño, pero se queda frustrado al comprobar que no tiene las mismas ideas que él. Deja el empleo y VAL empeña su anillo de bodas, pero GARY lo compra de nuevo...

Pierce tells Victoria that if she gives him info on Greg, he'll sleep with her. Pierce chats with Claudia about Kate. Pierce goes to Paige's and packs. He throws her against the dresser and tells her he's after Greg. Paige tells Greg to get a bodyguard. Greg and Anne finally sleep together. Gary agrees to run the ranch for the new owner, but is frustrated when they don't see eye-to-eye on how to run it. He quits, so Val sells her wedding ring for money. The jeweler calls Gary, and he buys it back.

PIERCE chantajea a MORT para que le informe de los negocios de GREG. Este sospecha que hay un topo, y MORT decide cambiar de opinión y no ayudarle. La antigua colega de KATE como tenista VANESSA hace una visita a KATE, y esta accede a dejarla quedarse con ella. CLAUDIA quiere que ALEX se marche, y le dice a GREG la verdad, y que RUTH sufría muchos dolores y ella la dejó morir. El ofrece un empleo al joven para poder controlarlo. ALEX pide una cita a KATE, pero CLAUDIA se opone, por lo que ella misma se acuesta con él. El editor de VAL le pide que escriba una biografía de GREG. Aunque nadie quiere que lo haga, especialmente MACK y KAREN por cómo puede afectar a MEG, ella decide seguir adelante con el proyecto...

Pierce blackmails Mort into giving him information on Greg's business deals. Greg suspects a leak, so Mort tells Pierce he can't risk helping him anymore. Kate's old tennis friend Vanessa shows up and asks to stay with Kate. Claudia wants Alex out, so she tells Greg that he is blackmailing her, and that Ruth was in pain, so she let her die. Greg gives Alex a job so he can keep an eye on him. Alex asks Kate out. Claudia wants him to leave Kate alone, so she sleeps with Alex. Val's publisher asks her to write a biography of Greg. No one wants her to do it, and Mac and Karen are scared of how it will affect Meg and Paige, but Val decides to go ahead with it.

CLAUDIA quiere que ALEX se vaya, mientras él flirtea con VANESSA delante de KATE. PAIGE pide a ANNE que vuelve a contratar a KATE en la cadena de radio, pero VANESSA también va y le hace la pelota a ANNE, por lo cual esta acaba contratándola a ella como ayudante. VAL se entrevista con GREG para su libro, y a él le divierte su sinceridad. PIERCE intenta arruinar un negocio de GREG sin éxito, y discute con él a gritos en un restaurante hasta que lo echan. Más tarde, el joven adquiere un rifle. Después de cenar con PAIGE y su madre, GREG repara en que PIERCE les está apuntando, empuja a ANNE y sujeta a la joven mientras el otro dispara contra él...

Claudia wants Alex to move out. Alex flirts with Vanessa and they almost kiss when Kate walks in. Paige asks Anne to hire Kate at the radio station. Vanessa comes by and sucks up to Anne big time, so Anne hires Vanessa to be her assistant. Val meets with Greg about her book, and Greg is bemused by her earnestness. Pierce tries to ruin Greg's business deal, but it doesn't work. Pierce screams at Greg in a restaurant and is thrown out. Pierce buys a rifle. Paige has dinner with Anne and Greg at his ranch. As they leave, Greg sees Pierce. He pushes Anne and grabs Paige as Pierce shoots.

PAIGE ha sido víctima de un disparo y es trasladada al hospital urgentemente. Extraen la bala, pero su columna se ha inflamado y podría quedar paralítica. MACK envía a KAREN a casa y va con ANNE a una cafetería, donde ella se siente culpable por haber sido una mala madre. CLAUDIA encuentra a PIERCE en su casa, que le dice que hirió a PAIGE por accidente y que la ama. CLAUDIA le sigue la corriente y él se va. ANNE se siente celosa al ver a GREG sentado en la cabecera de su hija y acariciándole la cara y el cabello, y después le comunica que da por terminada su relación. VANESSA sustituye a ANNE en el programa, y luego ALEX la lleva al despacho de GREG para hacerle el amor. Cuando PAIGE despierta, no siente nada en las piernas ni puede mover los dedos de los pies...

Paige has been shot and is rushed to the hospital. The bullet is removed, but her spine is swollen and she might be paralyzed. Mac tells Karen to go home, and he and Anne go to a diner across the street. Anne feels bad about being a bad mother. Claudia finds Pierce at her house. Pierce wants her to tell Paige that he didn't mean to shoot her and he loves her. Claudia plays along and he leaves. Anne is jealous as she watches Greg sit with Paige and stroke her face and hair. Anne tells him that their relationship is over. Vanessa fills in for Anne at the station. Alex brings Vanessa to Greg's office, and they have sex on his desk. Paige wakes up, but has no feelings in her legs and can't move her toes.

VAL recibe una llamada de una mujer ofreciéndole información sobre GREG y MEG, y ella accede a verla, aunque GARY la sigue temeroso de que pueda ser una trampa de PAIGE. ALEX invita a KATE a cenar y VANESSA se pone celosa, aunque afirma saber que lo hace para ganarse a GREG. ANNE se esfuerza por demostrarle a su hija lo mucho que la quiere, y ella le confía llorosa que necesitaba oír eso. Madre e hija deciden empezar de nuevo y luego, PAIGE se atreve a confesarle a GREG su amor. Ella va recuperando la sensibilidad de la pierna y, durante la sesión de hidroterapia, GREG le asegura que le dio un buen susto y, cuando va a decirle que la ama, llega un camillero para llevarla a Rayos X. Sin embargo, la conduce al sótano, donde les espera pierce. El camillero se va corriendo, y PIERCE deja al vigilante sin sentido. Le inyecta un fuerte sedante a PAIGE y la coloca en una furgoneta...

Val gets a call from a woman telling her she has information about Greg and Meg. Val agrees to meet her, but Gary follows, thinking it could be Pierce setting her up. Alex invites Kate to dinner. Vanessa's jealous but says she knows he's doing it to get ahead with Greg. Anne does her show on Paige, and how much she loves her. Paige cries and tells Anne that she really needed to hear those things, and they decide to start over. Paige dares Greg to tell her he loves her. Paige starts to regain feeling in her leg. During physical therapy in a pool, Greg tells her she gave him a scare, and he starts to say he loves her. An orderly interrupts to bring her to x-ray but instead takes her to the basement. Pierce is there. The orderly runs off, and Pierce knocks her guard out. He gives Paige a shot. She gets groggy and he carries her to a van.

CLAUDIA se encarga de los negocios de GREG en su ausencia. CLAUDIA encuentra en su casa a ALEX haciendo el amor con VANESSA. VAL conoce a la misteriosa MARY ROBESON, que afirma que su hijo JOE trabajaba para GREG y LAURA tuvo una aventura con él, con lo cual JOE es el padre de MEG, aunque GREG compró su silencio. VAL se niega a creerlo. PAIGE despierta a bordo de un yate, al lado de PIERCE, y se percata de que él piensa que es MARGARET, la novia que murió. Ella consigue tirar el brazalete del hospital en el muelle, antes de que PIERCE zarpe con ella. GREG encuentra al camillero y la policía localizan la furgoneta en el muelle, junto con el brazalete de PAIGE. MACK y GREG zarpan en otro barco y consiguen subir al yate. Se enzarzan en una plea, y PIERCE y GREG caen en el agua. El cuerpo de GREG parece hundirse en el mar...

Claudia handles Greg's business while he's gone. Alex brings Vanessa to Claudia's, and she catches them sleeping together. Val meets with the mystery woman Mary Robeson. She says that her son Joe worked for Greg and Laura had an affair with him, and Joe is Meg's father, but Greg paid him off. Val doesn't believe her. Paige wakes up aboard a yacht. Pierce is there, and she realizes he thinks she is Margaret, his girlfriend who died. Paige manages to leave her hospital bracelet on the dock before Pierce takes off with her. Greg hires detectives, and they find the orderly who helped Pierce. He says Pierce used his van, and police find it at the Marina, along with Paige's hospital bracelet. Mac and Greg take off in a boat. They catch up to the yacht, and Mac and Greg jump on. A fight ensues. Pierce and Greg fall into the water, and Greg goes under water.

MARY avisa a VAL de que GREG quiere matarla, pero ella informa a esta sobre la mujer. El se queja por teléfono de que nadie le avisara cuando MARY salió de la cárcel. Esta empieza a espiar a MEG por las ventanas de los MACKENZIE. GREG confiesa a CLAUDIA que no consigue centrarse y le traspasa el control. Cuando CLAUDIA le sermonea en el trabajo, ALEX seduce a KATE y le advierte a CLAUDIA que no vuelva a hacerlo, o él y su hija podrían fugarse para casarse. El cuerpo de PIERCE ha desaparecido y la búsqueda se cancela. PAIGE está preocupada porque GREG la ha evitado desde que volvió a casa. ANNE y KAREN tratan convencerlo para la visite y, finalmente, es PAIGE quien va a verlo. El está revisando los vídeos que dejó LAURA y le confía que, cuando estaba bajo el agua, vio un túnel de luz y LAURA le pidió que volviera, pero él no lo deseaba. Le asegura a la joven que está mejor sin él porque los que le rodean acaban muriendo. Ella le recuerda que no murió, y le besa...

Mary tells Val that Greg is trying to kill her. Val tells Greg about Mary. Greg calls someone and said that he was to be notified when Mary was let out of prison. Mary watches Meg through the McKenzie's window. Greg tells Claudia that he can't focus, and lets her take over. Claudia berates Alex at work, so he takes Kate out and makes out with her. He tells Claudia not to get on him again, or he and Kate might elope. Pierce's body isn't found, so the search is called off. Paige is upset that Greg has avoided her since she's home, and she isn't eating or sleeping. Anne and Karen try to get Greg to visit her. Finally, Paige goes to see him. He is watching the tape of Laura, and tells Paige that when he was underwater, he saw a tunnel with a light, and Laura told him to go back, but he didn't want to. He tells Paige she's better off without him, that people around him die. She says she didn't, and they kiss.

VAL viaja hasta FLORIDA en contra de los deseos de GARY, y allí descubre que MARY ROBESON era la verdadera madre de LAURA y GREG conspiró para mandarla a prisión. Llama a KAREN para avisarla, pero no pueden localizar a MEG. Mientras, GREG amenaza a MARY para que se marche de la ciudad. Al mismo tiempo, decide dimitir y reparte su empresa entre CLAUDIA, PAIGE y MEG, con MACK y KAREN como sus administradores. ALEX asegura a CLAUDIA y VANESSA que está enamorado de KATE, y la primera lo despide, pero PAIGE vuelve a contratarlo. Entonces CLAUDIA amenaza con contarle a KATE que se acostó con ella y con VANESSA...

GREG duerme con PAIGE, pero luego se aleja de ella y de todo por una temporada. ANNE quiere volver con él e intenta encontrarlo al descubrir que está embarazada. GARY planea levantar viviendas de bajo coste en MICHIGAN, y, furioso con VAL, le dice a KAREN que si no vuelve a tiempo, se marchará sin ella. CLAUDIA limita el poder de PAIGE y esta, iracunda, se dispone a ir a casa de GREG. Cuando pone el coche en marcha, PIERCE aparece de repente en el asiento trasero...

Val goes to Florida against Gary's wishes, where she learns that Mary Robeson was Laura's real mother, and Greg had her set up and sent to prison. She calls to alert Karen, but they can't find Meg. Greg meanwhile, has threatened Mary to sleave town. Greg decides to quit, and gives 13% of his company to Claudia, 13% to Paige, and 13% to Meg, with Mac and Karen as her trustees. Alex sleeps with Kate and tells Claudia and Vanessa he genuinely has feelings for Kate. Claudia fires him, but Paige rehires him, so Claudia threatens to tell Kate about his affair with her and Vanessa.

Greg sleeps with Paige, but then pulls away, and says he'll be around. He decides to get away for awhile. Anne wants to get back together with him and tries to find him when she discovers she's pregnant. Gary decides to build low-rent housing in Michigan. He's mad at Val and tells Karen if she doesn't return in time, he'll leave without her. Claudia puts out a memo to limit Paige's power. Furious, she leaves to go to Greg's. She starts her car, and suddenly Pierce pops up from her back seat...
