El secuestrador de KAREN, PHIL HARBERT, la lleva a la habitación de invitados de su casa, provista de comida y ropa nueva para ella. Le dice que quiere que se sienta cómoda y que no la ha secuestrado, sólo ha desaparecido. GREG usa la limpieza de EMPIRE VALLEY para publicitar a PETE, y le informa que no lo hará realmente hasta que LOTUS POINT entre en bancarrota. PETER se lo cuenta a JILL, y esta a GARY. VAL se alegra mucho cuando BEN vuelve a casa y después este recibe una nota de su antigua amiga JEAN HACKNEY concertando una cita con él en su tienda de moda, una tapadera de actividades ilegales. Le pide que espíe a GREG y le da un beso. Él responde que ya no se dedica a ese tipo de cosas...

Flashback: Unos jóvenes MACK, GREG y PHIL van a casa de la familia MATHESON y descubren que se han marchado a su residencia de verano. MACK está preocupado porque no ha podido despedirse de ANNE...

Karen's kidnapper, Phil Harbert, brings her to a guest room in his home. He's laden it with food and new clothes for Karen, telling her he wants her to be comfortable. He tells Karen she hasn't been kidnapped, she's just disappeared. Greg uses the cleanup of Empire Valley as publicity for Peter. Greg tells him that he won't really clean it up until Lotus Point goes bankrupt. Peter tells Jill, who tells Gary.Val is overjoyed when Ben comes home. Later Ben receives a note from his old friend Jean Hackney to meet her. He goes to her boutique, which is a cover for underground activities. She asks him to spy on Greg, and kisses him. He tells her he no longer can do either activity.

Flashback Scene: Young Mac, Greg and Phil go to the Mathesons´, only to find out they've gone to their summer residence. Mac is upset because he didn't get to say goodbye to Anne.

Su hora de emisión fue cambiada a las 9, la noche de los jueves, en competencia con la "spin-off" de "Dinastía", "Los Colby", durante un par de meses. Después recuperaría su franja horaria de 10 a 11.

NOTE: Originally, this episode was aired right before the next one, but not as a 2-hour special: they aired both episodes independently. Its schedule was changed to 9 pm on Thursday nights, competing with the "Dynasty" spin-off "The Colbys" for a couple of months. Afterward, it was re-scheduled back to 10 to 11 pm.

PHIL obliga a KAREN a cortarse el pelo porque prefiere que lo lleve corto. Los niveles de arsénico de L.P. aumentan. GARY decide presentarse al Senado y enfrentarse a PETER, seguro de que así presionará a GREG para limpiar E.V. JILL accede a ser la directora de campaña de GARY, lo cual enfurece a PETER, y le confiesa que ahora sólo le importa GARY. MACK confiesa sus temores sobre KAREN a VAL, que le ofrece un hombro en el que llorar...

Flashback: MACK, PHIL y GREG se encuentran con ANNE en un tren, pero MACK no se atreve a acercarse a ella. GREG sí habla con ANNE y esta le da una bofetada. MACK le pide disculpas y ANNE accede a salir con él, que se queda dormido mientras la espera en su primera cita.

Phil makes Karen cut her hair because he likes short hair better. The arsenic levels at Lotus Point are rising. Gary decides to run for the Senate himself, against Peter. He thinks that this will pressure Greg to really clean up Empire Valley. Jill agrees to be Gary's campaign manager, and this angers Peter. Jill tells Peter that only Gary is important to her now. Mac breaks down to Val over Karen, and Val comforts him.

Flashback Scene: Mac, Phil and Greg see Anne on a train, but Mac is afraid to approach her. Greg speaks with her, and she slaps him. Mac apologizes to Anne, and she agrees to go out with him. He falls asleep by her pool while waiting for her to get ready for their first date.

JEAN llama a BEN a casa y él le prohíbe que vuelva a llamarle. BEN plantea a VAL una cuestión hipotética: ¿Debería denunciar a alguien que estuvo en un grupo subversivo que bombardeó un edificio, pero ahora es un hombre de familia responsable? VAL responde que no porque haría daño a su familia. ABBY asiste a un discurso de GARY, y le dice a JILL que pasará todo el tiempo con su marido. Sin embargo, entrega a PETER copias de los discursos y la agenda de GARY. PHIL revela a KAREN que quiere que MACK sienta lo que se siente cuando no se sabe dónde está su mujer. Le explica que MACK le mandó a la cárcel y no supo lo que le pasaba a su esposa, que acabó muriendo. Le asegura que la dejará marchar al cabo de un año. Después acude a la oficina de GREG, que informa a LAURA de que es un buen amigo de la Escuela de Derecho...

Jean calls Ben and he tells her never to call him at home. Ben poses Val a hypothetical question: Should he do a report on a man who was once in a subversive group that bombed a building, but had gotten out and was now a responsible man with a family? Val says no, as it would hurt his family. Abby shows up at a speech that Gary gives, and tells Jill that she will be with Gary morning, noon and night. However, she gives Peter copies of Gary's speeches and schedule. Phil tells Karen that he wants Mac to feel what it's like not to know where his wife is. Phil says that Mac sent him to jail and he didn't know what was happening to his wife, and then she died. He says he'll let Karen go in a year. Phil stops by to see Greg. Greg excitedly tells Laura that he's a good friend from law school.

Las encuestas empiezan a señalar a GARY como favorito. PETER decide usar la aventura de este con JILL para atacarlo, aunque habían acordado una tregua hasta después de las elecciones. MACK hace público que han encontrado las huellas del secuestrador y saben quién es, aunque no es cierto. Esto pone muy nervioso a PHIL y GREG adivina que es el secuestrador, se enfrenta con él y le da un día para cambiar la situación. Pero él prende fuego a la casa y entonces, KAREN encuentra la entrada al desván...

Flashback: MACK informa a PHIL que el bufete para el que trabaja tiene lazos con la mafia, pero él responde que debe mantener a su esposa. Luego este es acusado y pide a MACK que mienta en el juicio, pero él no está dispuesto a hacerlo...

The polls begin to shift in Gary's favor. Peter decides to use married Gary's affair with Jill against him, although they've decided to hold off until after the election. Mac has a phony story released that they found the kidnapper's fingerprints and know who he is. This makes Phil very nervous, and Greg figures out that he is the kidnapper. Greg confronts him and gives him one day to undo the situation. Phil pours gasoline all over the house and lights a match. As the house starts to go up in flames, Karen discovers a trap door to the attic.

Flashback Scene: Mac tells Phil that the firm he is working for is involved with the mob, but Phil says he has a wife to support. Later Phil is indicted and asks Mac to lie on the stand, but Mac says he can't.

La relación de GARY y JILL es publicitada por la prensa, lo cual enfurece a ABBY. En un debate, PETER deja claro que la vida personal de su rival no es ningún problema. GREG localiza la dirección de PHIL a través de su matrícula y se dirige allí. KAREN escapa de la casa en llamas, pero PHIL la encuentra en la carretera e intenta atropellarla. Ella huye bosque a través y acaba en una casa vacía, pero PHIL la vuelve a localizar. Le lanza a la cara un cubo lleno de amoníaco y se esconde en el granero. Entonces llega GREG, que lo detiene y le dice que le dejará marchar si no vuelve a meterse en sus vidas. KAREN se siente confundida cuando repara en que hay dos coches alejándose del lugar. La policía le dice a MACK que han recibido una llamada informando del paradero de KAREN, y va a buscarla para llevarla de vuelta a casa.

News of Gary and Jill's affair hits the papers. At a debate, Peter makes it clear that Gary's personal life is not an issue. Greg has Phil's license plate traced to an address in Dillon, CA, and drives there. Karen escapes the burning house. Phil sees her on the road and tries to run her down. She escapes into the woods and eventually comes across a vacant house. She breaks in, but Phil finds her. She throws a bucket of ammonia in his face and runs out back to the barn. He is breaking down the barn door when Greg shows up and stops him. Greg says he'll let him go for old times sake, as long as he goes back east and never gets involved in their lives again. Karen is confused when she hears 2 cars leave. Police tell Mac they received a tip about where Karen is. Mac and Karen run into each other's arms, and he brings her home.

6/166: "FOR APPEARANCE´S SAKE" ("PARA GUARDAR LAS APARIENCIAS")

ABBY y los niños vuelven a vivir en el rancho por el bien de la imagen de GARY. Este encuentra a ABBY en la cama con PETER, pero le da igual. OLIVIA fuma marihuana y es castigada en la escuela. Le roba a su madre el coche y sufre un leve accidente, pero la multan por conducir sin permiso. MACK habla a KAREN de PAIGE y la invitan a cenar. PHIL le envía flores con una tarjeta que dice: "La próxima vez, no te escaparás..." GREG decide darle su nombre a la policía diciéndoles que le reconoció a través del retrato-robot. KAREN lo identifica para sorpresa de MACK. PHIL va a ver a GREG y le dice que la policía cree que había dos personas detrás del secuestro, y les dirá que le contrató a menos que le ayude a salir del país.

Abby and kids move back to the ranch to help out Gary's family image. Gary catches Abby in bed with Peter but doesn't care. Olivia smokes pot and is suspended from school and steals Abby's car. She's is in a minor accident and picked up for driving without a license. Mac tells Karen about Paige and they invite her to dinner. Roses are delivered from Phil with a card that says "You won't get away next time." Greg changes his tires and gives Phil's name to police, saying he recognized him from the police sketch. They show his picture to Karen, who ID's him. Mac is shocked. Phil shows up at Greg's office and says that police think 2 people were in on the kidnapping, and he'll tell police that Greg hired him unless he will help him get out of the country.

MACK sospecha que GREG tuvo algo que ver con el secuestro de KAREN, pero él esconde a PHIL en un motel hasta que pueda enviarlo a HONG-KONG. MICHAEL se siente incómodo delante de PAIGE, ya que se siente atraído por ella. JEAN se presenta a VAL como una vieja amiga de la facultad, y ella la invita a cenar. BEN la amenaza con denunciarla por TV si no les deja en paz. Cuando van a comprar, JEAN encuentra a BOBBY con JEAN y, asustado, cede a sus peticiones y apoya a PETER desde el canal. ABBY se enfada pero le dice a PETER que fue idea de ella. PETER finalmente gana las elecciones.

Mac thinks Greg has something to do with Karen's kidnapping. Greg puts Phil up in a motel until he can make arrangements to send him to Hong Kong. Michael is uncomfortable with his attraction to Paige, but they begin to kiss. Jean introduces herself to Val as an old college friend of Ben's, and Val invites her to dinner. Ben tells Jean to leave him alone or he'll expose her on TV. While grocery shopping, Ben loses Bobby and later finds him with Jean. Scared, he goes along with her and supports Peter on TV. Abby is furious but tells Peter it was her idea. Peter wins the election.

8/168: "PRESSURE POINTS" ("PUNTOS DE PRESIÓN")

La policía acude al motel de PHIL, pero él los espía desde el edificio de delante, y la gente lo delata. PHIL cruza la calle y un coche lo atropella. En el hospital, PHIL le dice a MACK que GREG ideó el rapto pero él sabe que miente. PHIL muere. PETER está preocupado porque SYLVIA bebe mucho, y más aún cuando ella le dice que quiere que ABBY le pague más dinero o contará la verdad a la prensa: "¿Por qué querría ABBY darte un centavo?" - pregunta él. "Porque sabe lo mismo que yo, que no eres hermano de GREG. Ella debe recibir algo de ti por mantener la boca cerrada. Seguro que no le importaría pagarme para proteger su inversión en ti." L.P. se abre de nuevo y se celebra una fiesta. PAIGE repara en PETER, y se queda impresionada por él. Una borracha SYLVIA se pone en ridículo allí. Le pide a PETER que recoja su medicamento en la farmacia, pero allí le dicen que, si SYLVIA abusa de las pastillas, podría sufrir un infarto. PETER se propone aumentar sus dosis. Tanto GREG como ABBY presionan a PETER para que se una a varios comités pero él se niega a hacerlo.

Police go to Phil's motel, but he's across the street, and people yell at the police where he is. Phil runs into the street and is hit by a car. At the hospital, Phil tells Mac that Greg was behind the kidnapping, but Mac knows he's lying. Phil dies. Peter is upset with Sylvia's drinking, because she talks too much. Sylvia says she wants Peter to get money from Abby for her, or she will tell a tabloid the truth: "Why would Abby Ewing wanna give you a dime?" - askes her Peter. "Because she knows what I know - that you're no more Greg Sumner's brother than I am. Now, she must be getting something from you in exchange for keeping her mouth shut. Now she wouldn't mind giving me a little pin money to protect her investment in you." Lotus Point has a grand re-opening. Paige spots Peter, and is definitely interested in him. Sylvia makes a drunken spectacle of herself. She asks Peter to pick up a refill of her prescription. The pharmacist tells Peter that if Sylvia takes too many pills, it will cause cardiac arrest so Peter purposely gives her too many. Both Greg and Abby pressure Peter to join certain committees, but he stands up to each of them and refuses.

9/169: "BROTHERS AND MOTHERS" ("HERMANOS Y MADRES")

PETER sigue aumentando la dosis de pastillas de SYLVIA, y pide más al farmacéutico alegando que a SYLVIA se le cayeron por el fregadero. Luego PETER se siente culpable y se deshace de esas pastillas. Un estudio adquiere los derechos de "Capricorn Crude" y quiere que VAL escriba el guión. ERIC encuentra a MICHAEL y PAIGE durmiendo juntos, y se enfada al pensar lo que dirán MACK y KAREN. Acaba peleándose con MICHAEL y dejando el salón patas arriba, pero no le dice a KAREN por qué se peleaban. PAIGE no puede pagarse el hotel y va a vivir con los MACKENZIE. BEN confía a VAL que JEAN no le cae bien y no quiere verla. Más tarde, esta le comunica que su verdadera misión es matar a GREG...

Peter continues to add extra pills to Sylvia's medical dish. Peter tells pharmacist he needs more pills because Sylvia dropped them down the sink. Then Peter feels guilty and flushes the extra pills. A studio options "Capricorn Crude" and wants Val to write the script. Eric walks in on Michael and Paige sleeping together. He's furious about what that would do to Mac and Karen. He and Michael have a physical fight, and trash the room, but won't tell Karen what it's about. Paige can't pay her hotel bill and moves in with the MacKenzies. Ben tells Val he doesn't like Jean and not to be friends with her. Jean tells her lover that Ben's real assignment is to kill Greg.

10/170: "OVER THE EDGE" ("HASTA EL LÍMITE")

JEAN choca su coche contra el de GREG para poder conocerle y luego se presenta a él. PAIGE empeña parte de sus joyas. PETER llama a JILL y le habla sobre las pastillas, y ella le dice que ha ido demasiado lejos. De camino a casa de SYLVIA, BEN se sorprende al ver en casa de PETER a JILL. SYLVIA visita a ABBY y le dice que PETER intenta matarla. Él lo niega, pero la mujer prefiere quedarse en el rancho hasta que ABBY le encuentre otro sitio. GARY y ABBY pasan la noche juntos, pero él le dice que ya no le basta con el sexo. JILL no quiere revelar a GARY qué relación le une a PETER, por lo que le da un ultimátum. JILL avisa a PETER de que va a contarle a GARY que es hermano suyo, y PETER pierde los nervios, discuten, y ella se cae por accidente precipicio abajo.

Jean scratches Greg's car in order to meet him, and later comes on to him. Paige pawns some jewelry. Peter can't find Sylvia, and calls Jill over to Sylvia's. Peter tells Jill about the pills, and she's angry that he's gone too far. Ben, who was going to interview Sylvia, stops by and is suspicious about Jill being there. Sylvia shows up at the ranch telling Abby that Peter tried to kill her. Peter denies it, but Sylvia says she's staying at the ranch until Abby finds her new accommodation. Gary and Abby sleep together, but he tells her that sex isn't enough anymore. Jill won't tell Gary what her relationship to Peter is, so he gives her an ultimatum. Jill tells Peter that she's going to tell Gary he's her brother, and Peter flips out. They argue, and Jill accidentally falls over the side of a cliff.

11/171: "A TURN OF EVENTS" ("UN GIRO EN LOS ACONTECIMIENTOS")

ABBY sugiere a SYLVIA que pida a un abogado que le prepare una carta donde cuente toda la verdad sobre PETER, que deberá hacer pública si le ocurre algo. Después el abogado le da a ABBY la carta, y SYLVIA le entrega otra copia a OLIVIA. KAREN descubre a MICHAEL y PAIGE durmiendo juntos, e informa a MACK sobre ello. BEN y MACK investigan la relación que puede existir entre PETER, JILL, ABBY y SYLVIA. PETER llama a urgencias cuando JILL se cae por el precipicio. En el hospital, GARY pide perdón a JILL por haberle dado un ultimátum. PETER explica a MACK y BEN que salía con JILL, pero ahora sólo son buenos amigos. GARY le dice a ABBY que quiere a JILL. Su estado empeora y ABBY y GARY se enteran de que JILL está embarazada. Alguien informa de que vio a PETER con JILL cuando esta sufrió el accidente...

Abby suggests Sylvia have an attorney draw up a letter with the truth about Peter, to be released to the public if anything happens to her. The attorney then gives the letter to Abby. Sylvia gives another copy to Olivia. Karen walks in on Michael and Paige cuddled up asleep, and tells Mac that they're sleeping together. Ben and Mac try to figure out the link between Peter, Jill, Abby and Sylvia. After Jill falls off the cliff, Peter calls 911. At the hospital, Gary apologizes to Jill for his ultimatum. Peter tells Mac and Ben he used to date Jill, but now they're good friends. Gary tells Abby that he loves Jill. Something goes wrong, and a code blue is called for Jill. Abby and Gary overhear a Doctor saying that Jill is pregnant. Another man tells Ben he saw Jill fall off the cliff and that Peter was with her.

12/172: "TOUCH AND GO" ("ARRIESGADO")

MACK y KAREN hablan con PAIGE y MICHAEL por separado, y ella accede a terminar la relación, pero él alega que están enamorados. SYLVIA informa a PETER de la carta que dio a su abogado. GREG cree que alguien intenta arruinar la carrera de PETER y le advierte que mejor será que su versión de los hechos concuerde con la de JILL. Esta pierde el bebé que esperaba y, al despertar, pregunta por PETER en lugar de GARY.

Mac and Karen confront Paige and Michael separately. Paige agrees to stop the affair, but Michael maintains they are in love. Sylvia tells Peter about the letter she gave to her attorney. Greg thinks someone is trying to ruin Peter's career, and tells Peter that he and Jill's story better match when she wakes up. Jill loses the baby. Jill wakes up and Gary is mad that she requests to see Peter instead of him.

PAIGE accede a ir al cine con él, pero le deja plantado cuando PETER le pide una cita. Al mismo tiempo, este ha dejado plantado a ABBY...LILIMAE encuentra el dinero de JEAN y se lo muestra a VAL, lo cual preocupa a esta. GREG le ofrece un empleo a BEN, y cuando JEAN amenaza a su familia, él lo acepta. KAREN encuentra una carta que ANNE escribió a MACK cuando nació PAIGE, pero sospechan que fue ella misma quien la escribió, y se preguntan si les ha contado más mentiras...En un cementerio, yace una tumba con la inscripción: "Paige Matheson, 1967-1985."

Greg makes out a will for Peter with him as the beneficiary. Abby brings Sylvia to stay with the Sumners. Jill tells Peter that she'll cover for him, but their relationship is over. Paige rejects Michael and he takes it out on Karen. Paige agrees to go to a movie with him as "friends", but stands him up when Peter asks her out. Peter cancels a date with Abby to meet Paige. Lilimae finds JEAN´s money and shows Val. Greg offers Ben a job. He doesn't want to take it, but does when Jean threatens his family. Karen finds a letter that Anne wrote to Mac about Paige's birth, but they suspect Paige wrote it herself, and wonder if she's lying about anything else. In a cemetery, there is a tombstone that says "Paige Matheson, 1967-1985."

MICHAEL se pone celoso cuando ve a PAIGE colgada de PETER en la fiesta de Navidad de L.P. ABBY va a ver a este vestida sólo con un abrigo de piel. KAREN deja un mensaje para los abuelos de PAIGE, los WINSTON. Cuando se lo dice a ella, se pone nerviosa y dice que sus abuelos la odian porque odiaban a MACK. Su abuelo llama a KAREN y le dice que su comportamiento es enfermizo, ya que PAIGE está muerta. LAURA comunica a GREG que está embarazada, y él no se muestra muy contento. OLIVIA compra drogas y ABBY y GARY le regalan un coche deportivo. OLIVIA lleva a LILIMAE en su coche, y sufren un accidente.

Ben gives Abby his resignation. Greg tells him his job is to keep Peter's nose clean. Jean's lover asks her what Ben will do if he finds that she is no longer with the CIA. Michael is jealous when he sees Paige fawning over Peter at the Lotus Point Christmas Party and at the mall. Abby shows up at Peter's nude under a fur coat. Karen leaves a message for Paige's grandparents, the Winstons. When Karen tells Paige, she flips out and says her grandparents hate her because they hated Mac. Mr. Winston calls Karen and says that she's sick, because Paige is dead. Laura tells Greg she is pregnant, and he's not happy. Olivia buys some drugs, and then Abby and Gary give her a sports car for Christmas. Olivia takes Lilimae for a ride, and they get into an accident.

En casa, JILL le pide matrimonio a GARY, pero él contesta que debe conocerla mejor. LILIMAE enseña a ABBY una bolsa de cocaína que ha encontrado en el coche de OLIVIA, y ella busca en el dormitorio de su hija mientras ella está esnifando cocaína en el granero. Después ABBY sigue sus pasos y la ve comprando droga. ABBY le quita el bolso y tira la cocaína. GREG quiere que LAURA aborte, mientras que PAIGE les dice a MACK y KAREN que fingió su muerte para librarse de sus abuelos, pero dudan de su palabra. KAREN encuentra una cronológica de PAIGE, que al parecer murió en un accidente de navegación. MACK llama a los WINSTON y averigua que ANNE sigue viva...

Gary sees Jill´s yearbook where her name is Dorothy Simpkins, and pictures of Peter that are signed "for my sis." Home, Jill asks Gary to marry her, but he says he needs to get to know her better. Lilimae gives Abby a packet of cocaine she found in Olivia's car. Abby searches Olivia's room as Olivia is in the barn snorting coke. Abby follows Olivia and sees her buying drugs. Abby grabs her purse and dumps out the drugs. Greg wants Laura to have an abortion. Paige tells Mac and Karen that she faked her death to get away from her grandparents. They are not sure if they believe her. Karen researches and finds an obituary saying Paige died in a boating accident. Mac decides to call the Winstons, and Mr. Winston tells him to stop calling because it upsets Anne. Mac is surprised to hear that Anne is alive.

El Sr. WINSTON llega a la ciudad y confirma que PAIGE es su nieta, para preocupación de esta. KAREN convence a MACK para que vuele a N.Y. y comunique a ANNE que PAIGE está viva. JILL admite ante GARY que PETER es su hermano y él cree que es hija de PAUL. Al final le pide que se case con él. ABBY exige a OLIVIA que le entregue toda su parafernalia para drogas, pero ella la engaña. OLIVIA se niega a ir con GARY a AA, y él confía a ABBY que deberán esperar a que toque fondo. ABBY descubre que OLIVIA ha vaciado su cuenta y la de BRIAN, ha faltado a clase, y no ha pagado la matrícula. Sin recursos, OLIVIA decide traficar, y, cuando ella consume la droga en vez de venderla, su proveedor la golpea. Entonces, ABBY coge las llaves de OLIVIA y la pone en arresto domiciliario: "No voy a dejarte fuera - le dice - Voy a dejarte dentro, encerrada conmigo..."

Mr. Winston flies into town and confirms that Paige really is his granddaughter. Paige is upset to see him. Karen convinces Mac he needs to fly to New York and tell Anne that Paige is alive. Jill admits to Gary that Peter is her brother. Gary thinks she means she is Galveston's daughter. Gary asks Jill to marry him. Abby demands Olivia give her all of her drug paraphernalia, but Olivia gives her baking soda. Gary invites her to AA, but Olivia refuses. Gary tells Abby they'll have to wait until she hits bottom. Abby finds out that Olivia has drained her and Brian's bank account, has been skipping school, is failing all of her classes, and didn't pay her tuition. Out of money, Olivia decides to sell drugs, and her dealer hits her when she uses them instead. Abby takes Olivia's house and car keys and puts her under house arrest: "I'm not gonna lock you out - she tells Olivia - I'm gonna lock you in. With me!"

MACK va a ver a ANNE a NUEVA YORK. OLIVIA escapa de casa para esnifar cocaína en el granero. Luego se encierra en el cuarto de baño, y ABBY tira la puerta abajo con un hacha y encuentra la droga que su hija ha intentado destruir. Luego OLIVIA pide a BRIAN que le traiga los "deberes" que le darán sus compañeros. ABBY coge a su hija robándole dinero del bolso, y se enzarzan en una pelea. La joven destroza la habitación de ABBY y ella debe sujetarla. LILIMAE trae a BRIAN de la escuela y él le da a su hermana dinero que le han dado para ella. Cuando aparece con el ojo morado, ABBY corre a casa y obliga a OLIVIA a enfrentarse a su hermano. Una trastornada OLIVIA corre al gallinero y le entrega a su madre toda la droga que guardaba allí...

Mac flies to New York to see Anne. Under house arrest, Olivia sneaks out and does drugs in the barn. Olivia locks herself in the bathroom, so Abby chops the door down and finds drugs which Olivia tried to flush. Olivia makes calls and tells Brian that her friends will bring her homework to his school. Abby catches Olivia stealing money from her purse, and they fight. Olivia trashes Abby's room and Abby has to restrain her. Olivia gives Brian an envelope and tells him it's her homework to give to her friends. Abby rushes to Brian's school, but he's already been beaten up. Abby brings him home and forces Olivia to face her bruised and bloodied brother. Upset, Olivia runs to the chicken coop and gives Abby all of her drugs.

ANNE confiesa a MACK que es el único hombre que ha amado, pero no le informó de su embarazo porque le dijeron que había aceptado 5.000 dólares por abandonarla, lo cual niega él. Además, le dice que teme volver a enamorarse de él. KAREN siente celos de la belleza de ANNE, y hablan incómodas mientras esperan a PAIGE. ANNE deja caer que PAIGE actuó así para reconciliarla a ella con MACK...OLIVIA acude con GARY a AA, y le pide perdón a su hermano. ABBY sigue queriendo aplazar el divorcio pero él se opone. JEAN espía las conversaciones de GREG, y oye a PETER preguntarle adónde ha llevado a SYLVIA, pero él no quiere decírselo. Entonces ella llama a BEN y le ordena que entre en el ordenador de GREG...

Paige tells Karen she'd better worry about Anne's intentions with Mack. She then packs and goes to stay with Peter. Anne tells Mac that he's the only man she ever loved, but didn't tell him she was pregnant, because she found out her father paid him $5,000 to leave her. Mac says that isn't true. She says she's afraid she'll fall in love with Mac again. Karen is jealous of Anne's looks, and they talk uncomfortably while waiting for Paige. Anne says Paige did this to bring her and Mac back together and she is snide to Karen. Olivia goes to AA with Gary, and apologizes to Brian. Abby still wants to postpone the divorce, but Gary says no. Jean has Ben bug Greg's office. They hear Peter ask Greg where he sent Sylvia on vacation, but Greg won't tell him. Then Jean calls and says she wants Ben to break into Greg's computer.

Viendo el comportamiento inmaduro de ANNE, KAREN siente lástima por PAIGE y quiere que se quede con ellos. Pero ANNE prefiere que PAIGE vuelva a N.Y., y la amenaza con dejar de ayudarla económicamente. PETER dice a PAIGE que no es bueno para su imagen que viva con una mujer, por lo cual ella vuelve con los MACKENZIE. ANNE decide quedarse hasta que PAIGE acceda a acompañarla. GREG descubre el micrófono instalado en su oficina y sospecha que alguien le ha estado espiando. Hace varios negocios falsos y se lo cuenta a BEN. Este informa a JEAN, preocupada porque se ha creído sus mentiras. ABBY asegura a GARY que luchará por quedarse con el rancho, a menos que le pague 3 millones, así que él decide concederle esto. BEN pide a VAL que, pase lo que pase, siempre la querrá, y JEAN le comunica después que deberá matar a GREG.

Seeing Anne's immature behavior, Karen feels sorry for Paige and wants her to stay with them. Anne wants Paige to come back to NY, and threatens to cut her off financially. Peter tells Paige it isn't good for his image to live with someone, so she moves back to the MacKenzies. Anne says she'll stay until Paige agrees to leave with her. Greg finds the bug in his office, and suspects that someone has hooked up to his computer. He makes phony deals, and tells Ben about it. Ben tells Jean, who's upset because she fell for it. Abby tells Gary she will fight for the ranch unless he gives her $3 million so Gary gives her the money. Ben tells Val that no matter what happens, to always remember he loves her. Jean tells Ben that his new assignment is to kill Greg.

PAIGE empieza a trabajar en L.P. GREG y LAURA no se ponen de acuerdo sobre el embarazo, por lo cual ella vuelve a KNOTS LANDING. ABBY abre un club en L.P. y PETER la invita a acompañarlo, y dice a PAIGE que lo hace sólo por su imagen. BEN se resiste a matar a GREG, y JEAN lo amenaza con liquidar a su familia. Cuando alguien intenta sacar el coche de VAL de la carretera, BEN le explica la verdad sobre JEAN, y deciden huir de ella tomando todo tipo de precauciones. Aún así, JEAN acaba localizándolos...

Paige accepts a job at Lotus Point. Anne asks Karen to arrange for her to live at Lotus Point. Greg and Laura disagree about her having the baby, so she moves back to the cul-de-sac. Abby opens a nightclub at Lotus Point. Peter asks Abby to the opening, but tells Paige it is only for PR purposes. Ben refuses to kill Greg, and Jean says she'll kill his family. After someone tries to run Val off the road, Ben tells her the truth about Jean. Ben and Val decide to run away secretly. As they drive away, Jean pulls up next to them in her car.

JEAN da con los GIBSON y ellos se dan cuenta de que les ha estado espiando. Ordena a a BEN que asesine a GREG en la inauguración del Club de L.P. Allí, GREG y LAURA hacen las paces, y él confiesa que le ilusiona tener otro hijo. ANNE está pendiente de MACK y KAREN finge que no le importa. Los celos de KAREN divierten a MACK y BEN informa a VAL que huirán en una camioneta de reparto tras la fiesta. JEAN asegura a BEN que, si no mata a GREG, alguien bajo su mando matará a VAL. GARY y JILL anuncian ante una afectada VAL que van a casarse. BEN sigue a GREG hasta su despacho y saca una pistola, pidiéndole ayuda para salir de la situación. Pero es incapaz de matarle. De repente, JEAN escucha un disparo y cree que la misión se ha cumplido...

Jean catches the Gibsons, and they know that their house is bugged. She instructs Ben to kill Greg at the Lotus Point Club Opening. At the opening, Greg and Laura make up. He says he's happy about the baby. Anne hangs all over Mac at the party, and Karen pretends not to mind. Mac is amused at Karen's jealousy. Ben tells Val that they'll escape in a catering truck after the party. Jean tells Ben that if he doesn't kill Greg, she has people at the party who will kill Val. Gary and Jill tell Val that they're getting married and Val runs off crying. Ben confronts Greg in his office and pulls out a gun. He tells Greg to help him find a way out of this. Jean listens in on the bug. Ben can't bring himself to kill Greg, but then a shot rings out.

VAL y sus hijos vuelven a casa en la furgoneta, y ella se muestra muy preocupada por BEN. MACK contrata a guardaespaldas que se hacen pasar por albañiles para proteger a VAL y se asegurar de que VAL diga a todos que BEN está en viaje de negocios. Alertada por LILIMAE, KAREN interroga a VAL sobre los últimos sucesos, pero no averigua nada. La prensa informa de la muerte de GREG. ABBY visita a PETER y le advierte que más vale que esté listo para tomar el control de las Industrias GALVESTON, y le presiona para que haga una declaración pública. GARY pospone su boda con JILL en LAS VEGAS, VAL acude al rancho para dar el pésame a LAURA Y, cuando GREG entra en la salita, VAL empieza a pensar que BEN debe de estar muerto en lugar de GREG...

Val and the kids are brought home in a catering van. Val is frantic about Ben. Mac hires bodyguards posing as construction workers to protect Val and instructs Val to say that Ben is on a business trip. Karen asks both Mac and Val what is going on, but neither will tell her anything. Greg's death is in the paper. Abby rushes to Peter's and says he'd better be prepared to take over Galveston Industries and pressures him to make a public statement. Gary and Jill had planned to marry in Las Vegas, but he postpones it. Val goes to the ranch to comfort Laura, then Greg walks in, and Val suddenly wonders if Ben is dead.

23/183: "NIGHTMARE" ("PESADILLA")

MACK, GREG y un agente averiguan que JEAN y su socio intentan matar al segundo. MACK inmoviliza y arresta al superior de JEAN. Ignorando que le ha puesto una trampa, JEAN invita a GREG a subir a su habitación de hotel, y él dice que sabe lo que se propone y saca un arma. MACK y el agente entran entonces y la detienen. MACK explica a KAREN que no podía decirle a VAL que BEN estaba vivo porque ella lo habría contado. Histérica por lo de BEN, VAL trata de comprar una pistola, pero al final va al rancho y roba la pistola de GARY. VAL irrumpe en la tienda de JEAN y casi dispara contra la mujer de la limpieza por error. GARY la encuentra y la lleva a casa y, cuando entra BEN, se abrazan. Esa noche BEN sueña que JEAN mata a VAL. ABBY aconseja a JILL: "Deja que la segunda Sra. Ewing le dé un consejo a la que será pronto la tercera Sra. Ewing. La primera Sra. Ewing nunca desaparece - ¡nunca...!"

Jean's superior tells her she needs to kill Greg. Mac, Greg and an agent find out that Jean and her associate are trying to kill Greg. Mac punches out Jean's superior, and he's arrested. Not knowing he's on to her, Jean invites Greg to her hotel room. Greg says he knows what she's up to and pulls a gun. Mac and the agent come in and arrest her. Mac explains to Karen that he couldn't tell Val that Ben was alive, because she would give it away. Val, hysterical about Ben, tries to buy a gun. Unsuccessful, she goes to the ranch and takes Gary's gun. Val breaks into Jean's store, and almost shoots a cleaning woman by accident. Gary finds her and brings her home. Ben walks in and they hug and kiss and cry. That night Ben dreams that Jean kills Val. Abby tells Jill: "Let the second Mrs. Ewing give the soon to be third Mrs. Ewing some advice. The first Mrs. Ewing doesn't go away - ever!"

24/184: "NEIGHBORLY CONDUCT" ("CONDUCTA AMISTOSA")

BEN está decepcionado porque GREG envió a JEAN a PARAGUAY en vez de denunciarla. Se ha vuelto paranoico y la ve en todas partes. GREG despide a BEN, mientras JILL cuestiona las prioridades de GARY y si será para él lo primero. OLIVIA se une a la Comisión de Jóvenes contra las drogas de PETER, y admite ante PAIGE que se siente muy atraída por PETER. Pero ABBY y PAIGE también rivalizan por el afecto del senador. Esta última confía a PETER, para ganarse su afecto, que SYLVIA entregó a OLIVIA una carta, y que puede usar la atracción de OLIVIA por él para recuperar el documento. PETER envía flores a OLIVIA para agradecerle su ayuda. ANNE alquila la casa de LAURA y empieza a frecuentar la compañía de los MACKENZIE. KAREN no está de acuerdo con esto, y le dice a ANNE que deje de tentar a MACK porque no tiene ninguna oportunidad. ANNE se envía a si misma un paquete pero quiere que se entregue a los MACKENZIE. Cuando MACK se lo trae, ella le dice que quiere que pase la noche con él y reanuden su relación...

Ben is upset that Greg sent Jean to Paraguay instead of pressing charges. He is ultra paranoid and thinks he sees Jean everywhere. Greg fires Ben. Jill questions Gary about whether she comes first in his life. Olivia joins Peter's Youth Commission against drugs. She admits to Paige she has a huge crush on Peter. Abby and Paige vie for Peter's affection. To win his affection, Paige tells Peter that Sylvia gave Olivia a letter, and that he can use Olivia's crush on him to get the letter back. Peter sends Olivia flowers, thanking her for her help. Anne rents Laura's house, and hangs out at the MacKenzies'. Karen doesn't like this, and tells Anne to stop coming on to Mac because she doesn't stand a chance. Anne sends herself a package, but has is delivered to the MacKenzies. When Mac brings it over, she tells him she wants him to stay and get reacquainted.

LAURA está furiosa con VAL por el incidente con JEAN, e incluso dimite en L.P. para no verla. BEN instala en casa un costoso equipo de seguridad y, cuando LILIMAE lo acciona por accidente, intenta estrangularla al tomarla por JEAN. PETER nombra a OLIVIA su consejera de juventud, le dice que es más guapa que ABBY, y le pregunta si sabe algo de SYLVIA. ANNE y MACK recuerdan viejos tiempos, y ella le confiesa su amor. KAREN y MACK discuten luego por ella, y KAREN exige a su marido que pida a ANNE que se vaya. MACK asegura a ANNE que ama a su esposa y nunca la dejará. ANNE lo invita a un último desayuno a la mañana siguiente, y se traga un montón de pastillas. MACK decide desayunar con KAREN mientras ANNE pierde el conocimiento en el suelo de su sala de estar...

Laura's furious with Val over the whole incident, and even quits Lotus Point so she won't run into her there. Ben has an elaborate security system installed. Lilimae accidentally sets it off, and Ben, thinking she's Jean, gets her in a choke hold. Peter appoints Olivia as his youth advisor. He tells her she is prettier than Abby, and asks if she's heard from Sylvia. Anne and Mac discuss old times, and she tells him that she still loves him. Karen and Mac argue over Anne. Karen tells him to tell Anne to leave. Mac tells Anne that he loves Karen and will never leave her. Anne asks Mac to meet her for a goodbye breakfast. Anne then takes a bunch of pills. Mac decides to eat breakfast with Karen instead of meeting Anne. Anne is passed out on her living room floor.

ANNE es trasladada urgentemente al hospital, pero el doctor dice que se encuentra bien. PAIGE asegura a los MACKENZIE que se trata de una farsa, pero MACK piensa que aún así, es una llamada de ayuda. Sintiéndose culpable, se muestra muy amable con ANNE, lo cual no siente bien a KAREN. SYLVIA ha muerto, y PETER se acerca a OLIVIA para regalarle un medallón y darle un beso. Más tarde, ella le deja muchos mensajes en el contestador de los que se burla él con PAIGE. MICHAEL cuenta a OLIVIA que PAIGE sale con PETER, pero OLIVIA cree que se lo habría dicho, porque son amigas. GARY y JILL planean una salida, pero coinciden con PETER en el aeropuerto, cuando él va a buscar los restos de SYLVIA. Creyendo que también era madre de JILL, GARY decide que deberían quedarse.

Anne is rushed to the hospital, but the doctor says she's fine. Paige tells the McKenzies that it's only a stunt, but Mac says it's still a cry for help. Guilty, he is extra nice to Anne, which doesn't sit too well with Karen. Sylvia is dead, so Peter really comes on to Olivia, giving her a locket and even kissing her. Olivia leaves lots of messages for Peter, which Peter and Paige make fun of. Michael tells Olivia that Paige is dating Peter, but Olivia says Paige would have told her because they are best friends. Gary and Jill plan to go away, but they meet Peter at the airport picking up Sylvia's body. Thinking it is Jill's mother too, Gary decides they should stay in town.

LAURA da a luz a una niña mientras que ANNE vuelve al Este. MACK pregunta a GREG si podría ser el padre de PAIGE, pero él asegura que nunca ha dormido con ANNE. JILL intercepta la carta de OLIVIA y la quema. PAIGE cree que ella y PETER se casarán, pero él le dice a ABBY que antes se casaría con ella. ABBY le ordena que rompa con PAIGE y, cuando ya lo ha hecho, lo manda a paseo. MACK y KAREN revelan a PAIGE que GREG podría ser su padre, pero ella, llorando, asegura que su madre sólo intenta vengarse. Además, cree que por eso PETER rompió con ella. BEN planea viajar al extranjero, y le dice a VAL que le han encargado un reportaje en Sudamérica. BEN pide a MACK que vigile a su familia, y confía a GARY que se alegra de que los gemelos lo tengan como seguridad en caso de que algo le ocurra a él. BEN se marcha en taxi, pero parece que se va para siempre...

Laura has a baby girl while Anne goes back east. Mac asks Greg if he could be Paige's father, but Greg insists he never slept with Anne. Jill intercepts Olivia's letter to Peter and burns it. Paige thinks she and Peter are getting married. Peter tells Abby that he'd rather marry her. Abby tells him to dump Paige. After he does, Abby tells Peter to take a hike. Mac and Karen tell Paige that Greg may be her father. Crying, she says Anne was just being vindictive, but thinks this is why Peter broke it off with her. Ben makes plans to leave the country, but tells Val he got a job in South America. Ben asks Mac to keep an eye on the family, and tells Gary that he's glad he's glad that the twins have him as security, in case something should ever happen to him. Ben leaves for his "job" in a taxi, but one gets the feeling he is really leaving forever...

29/189: "DO NOT FOLD, SPINDLE, OR MUTILATE" ("NO DOBLAR, ENROSCAR O MUTILAR")

LAURA bautiza a su hija con el nombre de MARGUERITE CATHERINE (MEG), en honor a su madre. VAL llama a la agencia de noticias de BEN, pero le dicen que no está trabajando para ellos. OLIVIA se enfrenta con PAIGE por PETER y esta le informa sobre la relación de ABBY y PETER. En casa, la joven y ABBY acaban peleándose a gritos. PETER agradece a JILL que quemara la carta, pero ella lo echa de su apartamento. ABBY le da una reprimenda por haberle dado esperanzas a OLIVIA, mientras PAIGE le tira platos y le grita por haberle dicho que GREG es su padre, lo cual hace reír a PETER. En el club de L.P., ABBY oye gritar a OLIVIA, y sale de los lavabos secándose las manos. ABBY ve a OLIVIA agachada junto al cuerpo sangriento y sin vida de OLIVIA, y cree que esta lo ha matado. OLIVIA observa que ABBY se está secando las manos y asume que es su madre quien ha matado a PETER...

Laura names her baby Marguerite Catherine (Meg) after her mother. Val calls Ben's news service, and they tell her he's not on assignment for them. Olivia confronts Paige on dating Peter, and Paige tells her about Abby and Peter. Olivia and Abby scream at each other. Peter thanks Jill for burning the letter, and she throws him out. Abby screams at him for leading Olivia on. Paige throws plates at him and screams at him for not telling her that Greg is her father, and Peter laughs at her. At the Lotus Point Club, Abby hears Olivia scream, and comes out of the Ladies room, drying her hands. Abby sees Olivia leaning over Peter's dead, bloody body, and Abby thinks Olivia has killed him. Olivia sees Abby wiping her hands, and thinks that Abby has killed Peter.

30/190: "CEMENT THE RELATIONSHIP" ("CIMENTAR LA RELACIÓN")

VAL confía a LILIMAE que sabe que BEN fue tras JEAN y no regresará. MACK le dice a PAIGE que ha llamado a ANNE, y esta ha admitido que él es su verdadero padre. GREG está más interesado en jugar con MEG que en encontrar a PETER. ABBY se entera de que van a echar el cemento en el nuevo parque infantil de L.P. y decide enterrar allí a PETER. Aunque están a punto de interrumpirla varias veces y por poco la pillan, ABBY consigue enterrar a PETER, sólo para volver a sacarlo para coger las llaves de su coche, y enterrarlo de nuevo. Conduce el coche al aeropuerto y vuelve a casa en autobús.

OLIVIA insiste en decir a ABBY que ella no vale lo que hizo ABBY por ella (creyendo que le ha matado). ABBY, creyendo que OLIVIA quiere decir que no debería haber enterrado a PETER por ella, le asegura que lo hizo por ella, y que nadie lo sabrá. El cemento se vierte en el parque infantil, y poco después, KAREN y ABBY van a inspeccionarlo. La primera observa que hay una grieta en el cemento que podría ser un fallo estructural, y que habrá que volverlo a construir...

Val tells Lilimae that she knows Ben went after Jean Hackney and is not coming back. Mac tells Paige that he called Anne, and Anne admitted Mac really is her father. Greg is more interested in playing with Meg than in finding Peter. Abby hears that cement is going to be poured for the new Children's playground at Lotus Point, so Abby decides to bury Peter there. With several interruptions and near misses of getting caught, Abby buries Peter, only to dig him up for his car keys and rebury him. She brings his car to the airport and takes the bus home.

Olivia tells Abby she is not worth what Abby did (meaning Abby shouldn't have killed him.) Abby, thinking Olivia means she shouldn't have buried Peter on her behalf, assures Olivia that she did it for her, and that no one will ever know. The cement is poured into the children's park, and Karen and Abby go to inspect it. Karen points out that there is a structural crack in the cement, and it will need to be done over...
